G-Loomis Nrx Rod Fast-Medium-Heavy
Tyler replied to Tyler's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
There are several anglers who own a few of the GLX's and say they can feel a better difference when comparing the GLX to the NRX. All i can say is i hope they don't sell a lot of NRX rods "sorry G-Loomis". If most anglers dont have em' then i might actually have the advantage when it comes to feeling the picky ones. I love my rod and the more i use it the more i am glad i spent the $. -
Galveston Texas After Hurricane Ike took over. That was a hotel at one time. But all the windows were blown out and the curtains were still hanging while blowing in the wind.

I use a Nikon d3000, and a Kodak Z712IS i really like the Nikon though.

G-Loomis Nrx Rod Fast-Medium-Heavy

It performs very well. I figured it would cast nice and feel great.. But really i cannot believe the difference between this rod and all of the others i own. St Croix, All Star, Falcon, and Quantum rods. You can feel the difference and call me crazy but you can actually hear the difference too. Such as when you bump a rock, or when you flick your line against the rod. -
According to the guys at Bass Pro they are going under.. I was thinking about buying some but i changed my mind and spent a lot more.. Bought a G-Loomis NRX
-
Well i just so happen to be on the search of a new rod and reel. I was browsing at Bass Pro and discovered that G-Loomis was there getting ready to release the NRX rod. I picked one up and couldn't resist. I now know why they put the price tag on the cork handle. This way you don't see the price first. You get to feel the rod first. I will be trying it out tomorrow. I hope its as good as people say. I will report back. I also purchased a Abu Revo STX reel to go on this rod.

He is a piece of crap... To do that to the fish and to cheat. Seriously, its hard enough to trust everyone when fishing a tournament and people like this shouldn't be able to own a fishing license. There are days i fish for 12 hrs and catch only 2-3 bass.. Not worth 5 lbs and i still go out and try my best to learn. So when tournament time comes i hope to do well. The ones who resort to cheating should not only be banned but fined, or how about 30 days in jail.. Seriously what would happen if you cheated or counted cards at a casino?

Thanks for the reply. I see Sundays AIA tournament took a little over 21lbs. wow...

Plastic Colors For Table Rok
Tyler replied to Billfo's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Well believe it or not stained water can be found on TR. But your partially correct by believing TR is a clear lake... Well most of the lake is. If the water is clear you want to match the hatch. Just like any other lake. If your in stained water throw a little brighter colors. As for 30'-40' deep i would throw Green Pumpkin 4" or 5" Plastic Craw on a 3/8 standup jig head. You could also throw a 10"-12" worm. You could throw a Jigging spoon "white" in color for clear water. As for flipping/Pitching in shallow water can be done and yes you can catch decent fish.. But the odds of catching 3.5lb + LM are going to be less than fishing ditches/channel swings in deeper water. Don't get me wrong, i have within the last two weeks caught a couple over 3lbs in 2 feet of water. But they were tucked up tight to submerged trees/bushes. And in more less stained water. Yep, TR can be a very tough lake to fish. Especially when your new to the lake. Good Luck and Have a blast! -
Foggy Clear Coat
Tyler replied to Jason Essary's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Try this: Meguiars Fine Cut Cleaner... About $10.00 per bottle. "lasts quite a while" Buy it at Oreilly's, Autozone, Possibly Walmart. Works Great. I use it on plastics such as atv's, taillights, Headlights, and my truck. If by chance it won't solve your boat clear coat issue you will still find several ways to use it. I am almost 100% certain it will do wonders. -
Anyone been around the state park lately and know what the water temp was and the clarity? Thank!

As the title says. Looking to buy the complete kit. 14'-16' hose kit steering rack and wheel helm for my 2009 Mercury Optimax 200
-
We kinda need more information... GPS for the boat, car, or hiking? Also, are there any features you would like to have? Are there any you have looked at and thought about buying? Also what is your price range?

Thanks guys! I was dragging the craw very very slowly on a main lake point in about 12-16 ft. Didn't really strike it, just felt a little funny "kinda spongy" then my line went out about 20' and after that it was a "cool" breeze coming back to the boat. When my buddy swung the net to land the fish we both looked at each other with eyes wide open and it instantly made our blood circulate through our freezing hands once again.

Well i will have to say my favorite swimbait thus far has to be the Lake Fork basic pearl white or pearl white with black metallic stripe. These baits swim so realistic when rigged correctly it's unbelievable. I mostly use them for flippin into the bushes when the big ones are up shallow. Although, i have taken the time to jig them slowly in deeper structure conditions and have caught some quality bass.

Drew i didnt know you were on here.... This time we better make it back to weigh in. LOL Just giving you a hard time. See ya tomorrow man.

This boat is a great fishing boat for the money. Rides smooth, great on gas, a ton of deck space. Lots of storage space. Trailer has brand new tires, i just packed the trailer bearings with new grease. The boat and trailer has been garage kept since the day i bought it new off the showroom floor at Bass Pro. I paid $17,600.00. I have added a CMC Jackplate, Lowrance LCX-27c and a Lowrance X-135 graphs. It has a 90hp ELPTO Mercury Engine. It has new batteries and it runs GREAT! The way it sits it runs 45-47 mph according to the LCX-27 color graph with gps. The Lowrance LCX-27c cost me $1000.00 and the X-135 was $400.00 The Jackplate was $250.00 Please ask any questions you may have. Asking $14,000.00 O.B.O
