  1. I run a 20 ft champion, bass and walleye fish out of it. I am never worried about how it handles in rough weather but, as Dutch says, I won't take it out on Stockton either on real windy days. I had a 17 ft G3 before this boat and really watched the wind close as it would not handle as well in the wind. I have a retired friend that I fish with on Stockton that has a Lund and it fishes well also. So, my vote is for what your money situation can provide in preference, comfort and useability.
  2. Fished with a buddy and his son this afternoon from Bridgeport to Cape Fair. Caught 40+ crappie, only 17 keepers 10-13in. Several short bass also. Most on swimmin minnows about 15ft deep. Water temp low 50s. very murky.
  3. Thanks a lot. I am going to give it a try today.
  4. I have been up the river arms catching crappie in the spring but have never quite figured them out on the main lake this time of year. Any suggestions what kind of areas to start looking in? I have a friend that wants to go out of the Kimberling area this week and running up the river is not an option. Thanks.
  5. Tried it today out of Bridgeport. My son and I caught 16. A mixture of bass, crappie(4 keepers) and one nice white. Water temp I saw was 47. Most of our fish came out of about 15ft around stumps and trees.
  6. I have caught whites up at the 160 bridge on turnback as early as late Jan before. But I agree it starts getting real good around the first of March and I think cc is a good place to start.
  7. Championship Marine in Spokane. They do a very good job. 4174432628
  8. No problem Martin. Good luck in the upcoming deer season.
  9. Not bad when I first got out there but going in was like riding a bull!!
  10. Fished from 8am to 130pm on the Big Sac arm out of Ruark Bluff. Caught 20 crappie only had 7 keepers. Caught all the keepers and shorts except two on live minnows. Caught those two on swimming minnows tipped with crappie nibblets. Most of the fish came about 10-15ft down over about 30fow. Also caught a 15in largemouth and short largemouth on topwater when they came up chasing near the boat. It did get a little windy out there today.
  11. My partner had the state record yellow perch that was 14.1 inches and 1.14lbs. He caught it while we were bottom bouncing minnows around the Barker Hole. It was broken last year by one about 1.5lb I believe.
  12. You know we were marking fish like that last week also while trolling and caught several drum also. Didn't think much of it then but that may be it.
  13. Mike, Thanks for the report. Are you down near the dam or up in the middle lake. I am probably going to Lead hill tomorrow and was wondering if those patterns may be a good way to start in that area. Thanks H91
  14. My mother has just be diagnosed with breast cancer a second time in about 10 years. She got through the first time and I am praying she will beat it again. Her name is Julia Campbell. We would appreciate your prayers.
  15. Caught some down there a couple weekends ago. They are pretty good eating. My partner had the state record out of Bull Shoals until last year. It was a whopping 1.14lbs. Still it was the state record for about four years.

    Walleyes

We have talked about doing that before. Its a great idea if we could get it organized. I would be in.
  17. I have seen them at Stockton. Love to watch em. I grew up in Bossier City La where they have a wing of them stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base. When I go back I love watching them and the B52 fly.
  18. It has been a while since I bought any fizzing needles and I think I got them at Ozark Bait in Kimberling City. Does anyone know a good place to get them? I lost my only one this weekend while walleye fishing.
  19. I know how to fizz walleye. Is there a quick guide to fizzing a bass?
  20. I was down there last week and used a white buzzbait around the grass and caught a few. I use poprs also and do ok.
  21. I am sure the TR walleye appreciate you going back to school I too have enjoyed your reports on the upper end of Table Rock.
  22. I thought this may be interesting. What favorite lures do you use for white bass in the summer and fall? Personally, I love to use topwaters such as popr, small spooks and tiny torpedoes when the whites are schooling just for the viciousness of the hits. I also have a buddy that uses a topwater bait with propellers on each end with no hooks but on the back of the bait there is a short line of a couple inches with a jig attached. I have seen him catch a ton of fish on that bait but I cannot find it in any store.
  23. Nice!! I am a slow death fan also for eyes'
  24. I have only been down there once this year but have fished it a lot in years past. My favorite bait is a plastic frog. You get some tremendous blowups and catch some decent fish too.
