This was my first kayak trip to Mark Twain. I like this area because there was not any fast moving boat traffic, lots of timber to tie off to and plenty of places to pull on to shore. I have not fished any other parts of the lake in my yak.
Two weeks ago I put my kayak in at Sandy Creek which is north of Indian Creek Marina. The COE ramp cost 3.00 to use. Sandy Creek is good kayak water but the fish were not cooperating that day. Also 20 mph winds made it tough to paddle back. Good luck.
I have used this kayak on small rivers and lakes and have no complaints. The reason I'm selling it is to make room for my new Old Town Predator 13. My garage is too full to hold any more toys.
Fished Greer to Turner on Friday, got a shuttle and some flies from Brian at 11 Point Canoe Rental. Weather was perfect and I was sorry I didnt bring my tent for an overnighter. Caught a couple 16 inch rainbows and about ten smaller fish. Dons crawdad was the best fly, black rubber legs and brown leech were also good at times. Thanks to Brian for the fishing info. I shall return. Art
