  1. You can leave the fly rod at home. Call The Beaver Dam Store, they can hook you up. I went by and talked with Bryce (guide) the other day and they have been catching some big Brown's out of the boat with spinning rigs drifting.
  2. I will be there Thursday, of course in the afternoon for the dry stuff..
  3. ................................
  4. A #12 caddis today was it this afternoon, lots of fish. I also did well on a 52 Buick...
  5. Albright is having a great rod sale until July 4 on the A5 rods, I didn't need another rod but for $120 with tube and sock and shipped to my front door I couldn't pass it up. You even get a $35 tackle bag free with it.. With that said you have $180 left to spend on a reel and line... http://albrighttackle.com/a5.htm Here's a link to show you how the Albright A5 rod did in the shoot out with all the heavy hitters in the business on the list... http://www.yellowstoneangler.com/FlyRodCom...nrodtesting.asp
  6. This is very long, you make your own judgment about the high fuel prices.... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=33...11147&hl=en

  15. Me and a buddy fished below the dam at Bull Shoals launch (at the golf course) and did great on a black Zebra midge for 2 days. I'm sore from having fun, we must have caught 100 combined Sat. and Sun. Parked the boat on the high spot below the shoals at the access and waded in the mornings and drifted from below the dam to the next shoals in the afternoon just for something different. Unbelivable fun for 2 days, no really big ones but a lot of fish fun (Cuts and Bows and Browns). I thought we had better do it before they really start to blow water, and they are soon...they where running 1 maybe 2 gens, perfect for fishing. Do it while you can. Be safe...
  16. Tim, thinking about coming up tomorrow, do I need a car battery for weight or are we still OK with some shot weight. I tied up some SW worms with lead rap with dubing around the lead and some with P-Cock rap thinking I was smart on the weight thing if I didn't go with the shot on leader. I could be working, but I need a fish fix and it's still raining. How does the water look, besides fast? Thanks...
  17. Is the 10/22 stainless steel
  18. All of the floodgates at Beaver dam were opened on Monday around 6:30 pm, it was in the paper this morning. The Corp said the rain outpaced the turbines' processing capacity at 3:00 pm and they were running at maximum capacity of 9,000 cubic feet per second.
  19. I hope to know you put them back in the water for one of us to catch someday...
  20. Me and the wife have Cingular AT & T and 2 phones and we pay $100 bucks a month for both with lots of roll over min. our monthly bill hasn't changed in 5 years, it's always $100 a month. I think we both get 1,300 min a month each.. By the way Alltel is the by far the worst.....
  21. They are small, but I have found some already
  22. I kept about 20 from last summer and fall, and ate about 3 of them. I just gave the remaining to some friends on Sunday in trade for some firewood (good trade). Trout, are ok if there's nothing else to eat and I'm camping and then I'm going to corn-meal them and fry them.
