  1. I like from the riffle down to the Ramp at Lead Mine. I like going fishing above the Park. Got a place I found that I’m going to try for Suckers. oneshot

  3. Back in the ‘60s in SW Missouri the Timber was sprayed then Dozers came in cleared it, then Fescue seeded. In ‘50s every clear spot with some dirt was planted in Grain Crops even Corn. It was raised mostly for feed, had Milk Cow, Chickens and Hogs Yes people cut Ties, Firewood, Logs , I remember some stealing Walnut Logs. We use to cut a tree every so often for Honey. There was a lot more Game back then. It wasn’t nothing to wade streams fishing and setting lines. Back then Branson was about 300 people. oneshot
  4. I remember when Warsaw was Spoonbill Capital of the World and people used Pool Cues for Rods. Osage had some good Catfishing too. I think we bit the bullet this time several days of dry to get things better. oneshot
  5. Everyone I talk to that has been to Truman Lake last couple days has said the Lake is up just about to the Bridges. I just realized why Truman was holding back so much water. They wanted it just right for the Boat Races on Lake of the Ozarks. oneshot
  6. Funny took awhile for my wife to figure out I always had her rowing against the current . Halltown. I use to haul grain there 51 years ago. oneshot
  7. Ah it is just a little Jon no motor or nothing. My wife asked him about me using it and he said he didn’t care. He wasn’t happy with me a little bit ago because I was drinking a Beer and he can’t have one. oneshot
  8. My Son dropped a Boat off at the house so I guess I got a Boat. oneshot
  9. River is back down for now. Went fishing for the first time in couple months. The Trout were biting just below the Park. oneshot
  10. According to what I was reading Truman Lake looks to be up all Summer. So will have no choice but to Boat in high water, if you don’t know the Lake be very careful. oneshot
  11. Phil know not what you want to hear but looks like coming your way. oneshot
  12. I seen where they was going to open the pool but they was set on closing it last Fall. oneshot
  13. I haven't went fishing in months, down to one hand and water is all up. Thinking after the weekend going to the Park and catch some of these Trout. Been fishing in the Park twice in 65 years. Would go Squirrel hunting but I have trouble with the Rifle so start by fishing. oneshot
  14. Well known Jason Dickey for years. Got to admit if I'm anywhere in the state and he is in the same area he makes sure to say HI! Know him and many others personally. oneshot
  15. Last year the bank was piled with dead fish up by the Dam. oneshot
  16. I know MDC don't take care of this but some were complaining about them catering more to Horse Back Riders and Hikers on MDC Areas over Hunters. Was told they used the areas more than the Hunters. So don't the same hold true to these Trout Parks? oneshot
  17. Went to the river so far still just bank full. oneshot
  18. Was watching Radar and seemed storms were bottle necking in NE corner of Oklahoma I think because of the hills. oneshot
  19. Back at office Flooding and Swift Water Rescue. oneshot
  20. Went to the office about 10 talked to my sister North of California, MO. She said it had just hit there. I’m waiting to hear back from her. Heard about Jefferson City. Was told about midnight to stand down go home but be ready. I’m sleeping in my clothes thought I was hearing hail but Tornado touched down by us. We haul tail for the office 1:20 running ahead of the system. Then another touchdown. Far as I know only one house distroyed no injuries. Get to the office watching Radar Tornado goes to FLW. Boss said there was one on the ground at Edgar Springs. Where is Edgar Springs? I knew because I use to hunt up there. They was touching down all along the line, every time seemed it had calmed down there was another. Finally one of my Bosses asked what I thought? Told him I thought it was done but had 2 more touch down, so we wait. Then 4AM they said stand down go home. On way home pointed out to my wife that all the Mailboxes were open. She might be deployed to Jefferson City right now dealing with Media. oneshot
  21. Haven’t been to the river today but I’m sure it is way up for days still raining here. oneshot
  22. That is one thing my wife does is make assessments for FEMA and I may be wrong but my understanding is if you have Insurance they won't help or if your Renting and it is a one time thing. We had a Guy Renting, second time around and he was POed because FEMA wouldn't pay him again. What people don't understand is FEMA says they paid out millions but spread out it is only couple thousand paid out. Funny there is so many Government Agencies that come in but it has to be the right Agency to get anything done. I'm with 3 different Agencies here while back one was needed and ready to go but was told they were not needed, so what was they to do? I'm surprised they would do this fishinwrench usually they don't give a crap. oneshot
  23. I had a question at one meeting why are they so focused on Tornadoes when straight line winds cover a larger area? Seems FEMA pays on Tornadoes. oneshot
  24. Ok just got word to plan on working all night, at least lots of rain which we don't need. At night I listen to National Weather Service and watch 3 Radars. Yesterday we was about to close shop and Hook Echo popped up by Fair Grove, was watching then it disappeared as fast as it came up. Be careful. oneshot
  25. Ok even Jim getting under bided he still gets the bid??? The place could be very nice and the area depends on it but it's like they no longer care. oneshot
