I asked this at Conservation Office in Lebanon.They told me up above Bennett Springs because of the water being warmer.My Son said yes the water is warmer but there isn't that much water,that had to go on down. I know at Lead Mine I have seen one Rainbow Trout and have caught Channel Catfish. oneshot

How did I know they was watching? They asked if I was cleaning a Buffalo behind my house,one was the other was a Carp. White Pines the limbs might grow to the ground but because I have so many Big Oaks they will grow too open.I already have many Cedars,just a matter of Transplanting them where I want. As far as not knowing both City and Country.I've lived and worked in Kansas City and Springfield until I went into MCRD at 17.Have spent a great deal of time in Major Cities including Chicago and New York City.Got along with people just fine. Took a Canoe and Jon Boat down to Bennett Access,3 days gear and 6 people.Decided to go over to Barclay catch my Supper. Get to the riffle and ofcourse there was bunch of people messing around up on the end.I start fishing up a bit.First cast got hung up.Rerigged,cast again hooked,I'm playing it in the fast water,here comes about 20 Canoes and half dozen Rafts.Where do they go? Right on the gravel bar side.I hollerd don't break my fish off.I seen it going over paddles and Canoes,got it in with out breaking off.Went caught our Supper. Looks like Best Holiday in years,river and Camp areas were packed. oneshot

Got an EMail I needed to check my place up by Fairfield that strong winds had went through. Went up there everything was ok but from Wheatland on up there was consideral wind damage. oneshot

Got home I was out cleaning up around the house and all the neighbors were watching me.They was watching me clean Carp the other day. Went up to my Sons,told him I'm going to plant Cedars all around where people won't be watching my every move.Then was talking about a fire that went through couple years ago burnt bunch of houses.I told him I just didn't understand how it got so out of control because there is so many old roads to build Back Fires. Dad your dealing with a whole different type of people.They are probably already tripping on you.They hire everything done,much less have their wife working on vehicles or cleaning Game.Oh and they don't like people killing their yard critters,one of my neighbors got upset because someone killed all her Foxes He told me you want neighbors over there clean a Wild Hog in the yard. As far as the fire they have Professional Firefighters now,they don't build Back fires because if they should and it gets out of control it's their baby,no matter how many houses burn.They don't even use the Dozer anymore cutting Fire Lines because people don't want it knocking out their trees no matter that their going to lose them anyway because of fire.He told me the only way that fire was put out was because the old people in the area built Back Fires and stopped it. He told me not to let these people get to me because he is sure I'm already blowing their minds. oneshot

My Son called said him and another Guy was on the Lake all day couldn't catch anything over 9 1/2 inch,no keepers. He is wanting me to come Catfishing but he thinks the water is still too cool. oneshot

Can't say I know the Keith's sure my Son does his life has been on the river for years.Burn's known them for years was close friends,haven't talked with them for awhile,they got into it with other friends of mine so not so sure now. I'm usually around. oneshot

What's the Biggest Trout you have caught out of the Niangua River? I have never weighed any but I would say 3 or 4 Pounds.Caught a 5 pounder out of Taneycommo but figured I could do better so never had it mounted.Had one I believe bigger on the Niangua but broke my Line just before the Net oneshot

Yea I've caught plenty on Roadrunners.The Goggle Eye in my Avatar was caught on Roadrunner. oneshot

It's a much slower float but should be ok being as the river is up some.Goggle Eyes usually bite good that way. oneshot

I was taking with my Son,I've decided and all around Rod and Line for Niangua River would be Light Action,Open Face Spinning with 6 pound Test Line. Biggest fight would possibly be a Catfish but just play it and if you wanted Trout just use 2 pound Leader. Thoughts? oneshot

Ok I went for the second time in over 20 years to the Park Camp Ground and I was impressed.Really nice camping.This coming from a Former Tiger. oneshot

Well I've always had best luck using just Molasses and Corn Meal but this New Mix seems better. oneshot

Mixed up different Dough Bait using Molasses,Corn Meal,Flour and Oatmeal. Went to Pomme de Terre Lake caught a 10 pound Carp and 10 pound Buffalo. They seemed to like the Bait real well just think the water is a little cold,they weren't biting as hard when the water is warmer. oneshot
