Most work on the river my Son worked his butt off all Summer made $4K,he is lucky his place is paid for,his family had hard time keeping warm for the simple fact they didn't have Gas to get wood,he did ok cutting all the trees around his house. Ok living on the Niangua for years and being on the Internet for years where I now hear this I've heard complaints about Gigging,Brown Trout and even some complain about keeping Goggle Eye. Take into consideration lots of people do good to make $10K a year for their family I will guarantee you if they are fishing it is for the frying Pan and some don't care if its legal or not but most part they try to stay legal. Just something to consider. oneshot

What gets me on the East Side is its so hard to get down to the Water and being Handicapped it would be easier to use Handicapped Pier but when Fish are Biting its always full plus it takes two people to get a fish in. But this is getting away from OP. oneshot

There is a White Catfish in the East,it is more like Channel Catfish than Blue. oneshot

Ok went over to the Dam Worms in Hand plus few Jigs to catch Dinner.went over on East side on Dock just down from Ramp.Throwed Worm way out and Started throwing White Jig. Had bite on my worm reeled it in Small Catfish throwed it back.Throwed Worm back out.Throw Jig some more.Bite on worm,Small Channel,throw it back.Decided Jig wasn't getting anything and I was hungry so decided if its Small Catfish so be it! Fishing caught what I considerd Small Blue?? Into Basket.Then caught pretty good size Channel but lost it because I left my Net at Home.Went ahead and caught 3 more Blues?? and left. Ok people are calling these White Catfish but I'm still thinking Blues.They had the Straight Fins and Forked Tail like Blue? Plus on that side are you allowed 10 Channel Catfish? And I enjoy fishing over there because of ease of getting to the water,Toilets,Water and place to just set and Rest. Its 25 miles there from the house same distance it is to where I go at Pomme de Terre and chance I think of getting Bigger Fish. Oh I have Bigger Gear for the other side. oneshot

Getting back to OP known Larry Dablemont for several years,he is Old School back to a time the woods was burnt every Spring,Bass were kept for the Skillet and Game Warden was not your Best Friend.Knew several Agents from back then,it was a whole different time then.Most hunted and fished for Food.But there was many breaking their Backs trying to Farm the Hills.Funny there was more Rabbits and Quail back then. Larry Dablemont is like me very outspoken he just does it on paper.Me I've been against the fact MDC is allowing Modern Pistols during next seasons Muzzleloading Season which is my present gripe but like my wife says getting too Old to make waves. Only time Larry Dablemont got me going is when he was picking on a Long Time Personal Friend of mine Ralph Duren on his calling ability.The Guy got me interested in Turkey Hunting spent time teaching so many about hunting not only Turkeys. Me try to be friends with all,don't mean we are always going see to eye to eye but not going to let disagreements take over my life. oneshot

So if my wife meets at the Park Restaurant with a customer for her Advertising Company she is breaking Regulations,even though they both spend money there? Isn't no different that us spending a weekend in Branson at the Radisson,doing business there,using their Internet but still going to some Shows and yes I slipped in some fishing. Ok how far will Jim Rodgers go to ruin the Park for anything but Trout Fishing.They quit having Black Powder Encampment down there during Hillbilly Days because too much skin was being shown.Then they did away with Hillbilly Days altogether. But of course NRO is going complain their the biggest outfitter on the river.But all the Outfitters have been cutting each others throats last couple years even their own Partners. I use to enjoy it down there,I was Baptized there in the river and my remains are to go into the river,which I may reconsider with the way it is changing. I really wouldn't put it past the state to quit letting Outfitters use other State Grounds considering they are using them for business. oneshot

Sounds good to me. Its closes place to me last Spring and Summer the water was up too high and really didn't get chance to fish it like I wanted.Did most my fishing up above 83 HWY. oneshot

Ok in Niangua by Lead Mine I found good numbers of Goggle Eye and Redhorse.Ok where the Pomme de Terre goes from Cross Timbers Access to Truman Lake it looks comparable to the Niangua maybe not as cool.I'm wondering if it has good numbers of Goggle Eye and Redhorse? oneshot

My wife told me I better get busy if I was going to kill a Turkey before the season ended. Went this morning nothing.This evening found a hill where they had been feeding.Called,waited,here some came up the hill.Pulled the Hammer back on my Gun and wait.They really wasn't coming closer.I picked the closest,shot,it run around the hill I couldn't get another shot.Well missed! Reloaded,called again,here they come but wouldn't come in,finally just left. I'm setting there thinking.That one I shot at didn't act like it was hit but it still didn't act right.I walked around the hill found it piled up in the Leaves. oneshot
