I'm thinking alot of the trouble with Floaters now days on the river is a Party Cove Mentality of Lake of the Ozarks overflowing to the river.Its Bad when your trying to fish and some doped up Girl is tyring to get you to Party with her or have one Flash you as she goes by. oneshot -

You do know what this is going to do with the environment all along there once they start camping there? I don't care if its fishing or Floating this is just wrong place for another Outfitter.Some do go to the access just for some solitude from the Park. Oh its my Favorite River too I was Baptized there and my Ashes will be put there when I die. oneshot -
For those that use to like fishing Bennett Access below 64 Bridge things are changing and not for the Best.Took Pics with my Phone couldn't enlarge them well. They were swimming and throwing rocks in the water,no problem until they got in the water I was fishing. I guess this is the first of many Building moving in. Moving in alot of Dirt and Gravel oneshot

Went Carp fishing today caught 5 Commons.Going to cook them up saved the Trimmings for Catfish Bait. oneshot

Was to meet my Son yesterday at a Ramp on Pomme de Terre that I had never been. Get there everything said Private but my Son said it was Public.We went ahead and put in,rode around for the day.Get back that evening.Son leaves I'm still there,people come in that had the Ramp.Said yes it was their Ramp but had to let Public use it because it was on COE Land. Just found it interesting. oneshot

Went below 64 HWY Bridge on the Niangua.River was running normal and clear.Middle of the day.Caught couple Rainbows on Orange Power Bait decided to go home. Was gutting my fish when I hear Grandpa.Cool it was my Granddaughter,got a Big Hug and Kiss. oneshot

Yea I've got couple Hunting Trips I have enjoyed in the past,not Big Cost but just the price of Gas might keep me from going. Most people that were coming to the river were either coming from Kansas City or St.Louis not that far but cheaper to hit Parks closer to home. I can't believe I'm worrying about Gas to take my Daughter in Law fishing below Bennett Thursday after Bible Study which is going to put me driving another 15 miles to pick her up.But my Pickup gets only 10 MPG,with Gas at $3.50 PG thats another $10 out of my Pocket. oneshot

The Lake Level is normal.Crappie seem to be biting well on Silver Jigs. oneshot

Usually things start to pick up on the river this time of year but from what I'm hearing everything is at a standstill.I know last year they said they was just making enough to keep the lights on. All I know is things can't continue,this is going to hurt people already living in poverty or very close to it. oneshot

Went yesterday about 7:30 PM until 1 AM there was a Guy leaving said he didn't get a Bite. The Lake is dropping real fast so I figured that is the problem. I caught 4 Pan Size Channels on Sony's and Chicken Liver. oneshot

Went to Pomme de Terre Dam today and was surprised to see the Lake about normal.There was people up there catching Crappie and Bass on Silver Jigs. Went on down the river looked like it had dropped two foot overnight.So in about a week it should be good below the house. I checked the mileage from Pomme de Terre Dam to the house it was 16 miles,its 20 miles from the house to Truman Dam so this is all good. Told a girl I had Catfish and Eggs for Breakfast this morning she thought that was horrible. oneshot

Can't agree more I've seen so many changes over the years on the Niangua and Lead Mine CA most not for the best most Outfitters wanting to grow some getting so Big they will cut their fellow Outfitters Throat in a Heart beat some of them use to be best of friends. But my son just bought a bunch of Rafts this year to put on the Niangua and I can't help but Pray for the best for him. oneshot
