Hey guys need some help again. I have never fished this stream. I will be down the 8th -13th of July. I need to know what kind of tackle to bring and what fish is best to target. I will be in my canoe on the meramec the courtois and the huzzah. Im thinking small mouth but are trout avaliable in this area and are there any restrictions. Is there any good fishing at the ozark outdoors campground. Any help about tackle bait flys and/or restrictions will help. thanks guys

Trav you sound like your the go to guy for south Tany. Im thinking about bringing my boat and wife down for the weekend is tany still fishable? Ive had my boat down their before but in diferent conditions. How far would I have to go to get into good Trout fishing? My lures are made with recycled Bottle caps their for the major beer coompanys cant say much. They can ask for a share but I dont have to give them anything since Im useing their trash. Also not to many royalites on a negative profit. lol

My wife and I are thinking about coming down this weekend to do some fishing on the lake. I dont know the lake to well above the Branson landing area but would like to get into some good Trout fishing. What do you guys think we should do? I have my own boat so that wont be a problem. Do you think the lake will be fishable to a novice to Tany this weekend? Has the water gone down or will the COE be letting more out? We normally stay in the Rockaway Beach area and drive the boat up the lake to fish can this still be done in the high water. Are the docks still their in Rockaway? LoL the dime. Ya ive used a dime as well but not never down at taney but it does work great with the crappie up here. I like the Heineken the best because it bright green with a little red but the blue and silver bud light works goo too!

Hello Fellow fishermen I live in Kansas City and Frequent the Ozark Area more then a few times a year for trout fishing and canoe trips. I just got married and my wife and I spent some of our honeymoon in Branson in a cottage on Tanycomo. I now make and sell what I call the Bt Lure. Its a take on an lure invented in Canada made out of use beer and beverage tops. I made a few adjustments to that design and now i thank it works better than ever. The bottle caps are recycled from some local bars and pubs and i turn them into a spoon type lure. Ive fished with them in Colorado on the Animas River as well as the San Juan. Let me tell you the trout are as big as footballs up their. I also use this lure for bass, crappie whites and Iv even caught a catfish on one. thanks thom still looking for like a state or mdc camp ground right on the lake not a resort just a place to pop a tent and cook over a fire. Maybe just a old road that no one uses that dead ends buy the water but still thanks all the info is great

thanks for the info im looking for something on the lake itself so maybe i could put my boat in and pull it right up to my camp site is their anyplace like that.

Hay folks me and my brother would like to go tent camping/fishing on Taney where do you recamend that we camp. looking for a place close to a boat ramp no need for water or electric. just a good nice spot that i can be close to the water. location dont matter eaither i do both kinds of fishing so in the trophy area or bait area is fine give me as many sugestions and or ideas. directions would be great or websites just a quick note thanks in advance for the info i love this site and you all have lots of usefull info thanks again
