  1. Fishing summary: EAST wind most of the time Mornings on the lake were tough! Only a few keepers, I even slept in one morning. Evenings on the lake were were pretty good. We trolled main lake points and caught nice black bass, white bass, crappie, channel catfish and a flat head catfish. Best largemouth was 4+ pounds, and had a 4.5 & 3.5 pound white bass. One morning was spent behind the Bagnell Dam where we caught our limit of white bass and a few crappie. We were happy with the fishing overall and once Monday came the Boat traffic subsided. James
  2. Thanks, I'm leaving for the lake tomorrow (8/9) and will be back home Wednesday (8/13) ....
  3. Thanks Guys, I plan on trolling crankbaits on some of the points and see what that turns up .. maybe I'll get lucky.
  4. Thanks for the reply, I'll have a boat and will get out early ... I am just unsure of what fish to target. With the boat, I can travel miles up the lake if needed. These late summer trips to Lakes I'm not real familiar with can be challenging. Any other suggestions are welcome ..
  5. Hey all, I am coming down in a couple of weeks and I am looking for fishing suggestions for the Dam and Ha Ha Tonka areas. Have there been any striped bass or walleye caught near Ha Ha Tonka? I have caught some whites at LOA in the past, but I am open for suggestions on any thing that will bite. We will be staying at the 2 mile marker and are looking for a 1/2 day trip to Ha Ha Tonka. Your help is appreciated, James
  6. You were right Bill, no whites at Moonshine and a few here and there along the Main Lake. We trolled and found a few whites down near Happy Hallow Resort and some across from Old 86 Campground. Hit a few Smallies and Spots with one decent Large mouth and a good old catfish. Rough fishing with the Southeast wind and the lake rising. Thanks to you guys here for making me realize that my depth finder will pick up jigging spoons and drop shots. Amazing to see your lure and the depth in relation to the fish. The Lowrance X47 is better than I thought. I didn't catch a ton of fish .. but I did learn a little more about fishing on the Rock. James
  7. Bummer, was looking forward to getting into some jigging for whites. Thanks for the reply Bill. I'll be fishing all next week, maybe I can find where they are hanging out ... If not looks like the dropshot is the next best option. Just looking to do a little jaw jerking .. not particular what kind of fish. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks again, James
  8. Hey all, Just wanted to see if anyone has been hitting the whites at Moonshine yet? Thanks in advance .. James
