  1. Yes I would Chief and I have fished with you before. I wish we could have found more suckers when you and Dillion came down but that is fishing as you know. Slider
  2. Good job when you gonna take me?
  3. Made a trip to the dam yesterday. Running water thought the crappie might be there. Saw a few crappie caught and a few whitebass. It was tough to fell your bite the wind was coming right down from the dam and you had a big bow in your line on about every cast. Had 3 crappie and 3 white's before dark on sliders just before dark the wind laid somewhat and managed to catch 12 more whites before 10:00 on purple bettles. Left about 10:30 with about 25-30 fish between 3 of us. I think if the wind would have laid we could all of had limits of whites, beter days ahead. Slider
  4. Did you see any suckers in the mix? Slider
  5. I think the daily permit you are seeing is in the trout parks. If you fish the lake or streams all you need is the 42.00 dollar licence. Slider
  6. Fly-Guy I have been grabbing suckers around swan and bullcreek this past week have saw a few bass at both places. These are both clear streams and seem to have some fish, if your going to Taney that afternoon you'll allready be about there. Just a thought. Slider
  7. We didnt have much luck either we had 5 total, I tried to fish but my elbow is still to sore to fish, I have an appointment wed. with a orthapdic surgen to see what he can do. We put in a Bridge port and came up above aser cane bottom. saw alot of fish caught my pardner just couldnt get them to bite. We did pull up on the bank and cleaned what we had and had a fish fry in the boat. I gotta have one of thos little stoves it was great. Slider
  8. There is lots of bank fishing at the blunk hole, if it was me I would go down stream from the ramp. You said you had waders so I would throw them in. One of the best places is right across from the ramp. Water is probable to high to get to the other side if I were guesing. I have had my best luck down stream below where a little branch runs into the river. Slider
  9. You can put this thread to bed I just got called out to close some roads from the rain. James and Finley are up and muddy the gigging fore this year is probable over. To all of the gigger's hope you had a good year. To the small mouth clan you can have your strech of water back. Slider
  10. I order my purple beetles out of Alabama, You have to take a days run which is around 15,000 to 20,000 thousand. Me and the guys I fish with split them up and I have sold a few but don't have any extra right now. If you can use that many let me know and I can hook you up with the people in Alabama. Slider
  11. Thanks fore all of the help with the elbow. I have been to the chropracter and he seems to be helping me some, it feels better today than it has in about a month. He told me 90 to 120 days and I should be ok. That is kinda pushing whitebass and sucker grabbing so I'll keep working on the rehab and hope fore the best. Thanks again Slider
  12. Be careful or they'll be on us grabber's like they have been on the gigers!

  16. Your wife sounds like my stepdaughter, she has been riding me hard about her deer and me with nothing. I'm waiting fore her to get off the bus so she can try and kill the 8 point I saw last week. Tell your wife good job. Now go kill one yourself. Slider
  17. Went to the woods tonight and saw deer soon as I got there had a foked horn come under the tree, didnt get a shot. About 5 minutes and I heard a deer behind me again, same foked horn ran across the food plot again no shot. About 5 minutes later heard deer behind me fore the third time looked and it was a 5 point, walked right where the first deer came under the tree turned around and went back the way he came again no shot. About 10 minutes saw deer legs under the ceders across from my stand he steped out same 5 point that had been under my tree before, he stoped at about 20 yards and I took the shot he ran right under the tree and went about 60 yards and went down. When we were loading him I noticed the spots on his back, has anyone ever seen a buck with spots? Slider
  18. I had the day off work today to hunt. This afternoon I thought I would go do some turkey hunting before Mekayla and I climed a tree to bow hunt. I walked all over the piece of ground no turkeys. I was just about done and I saw a small buck smelling the ground looking fore a doe, he got under the hill where I couldnt see him so I thought I would get a closer look. When I steped out I could see a great buck over on the hill chasing a doe. I watched fore about a half hour and thought I had better go get Mekayla to get in a tree. This is where to funny part starts. When I got to the truck setting along the road somebody had flatened two of my tires. they were both flat on the side facing the road. I called my sister and brotherinlaw and they came and saved the day fore me. Thanks fore familly. Has anyone ever had such luck? My nephew was planing on bow hunting this ground but we are both a little gunshy now. Mekayla did see 4 deer when she got on stand 2 fawns a doe and a 1horned forkey. She didnt take a shot, waiting on the big buck. With all my good luck fore the day you guesed it I saw nothing!! Slider
  19. I had my wife get me some number 6's and some number 5's fiocchi golden pheasants from fiocchi, where she works. I used both when I went to South Dakota 2 years ago, they both shot good but I think I like the number 5's better. I am going back to South Dakota in 2 weeks I can't wait. slider
  20. Tell your wife good job on the turkey. That is all Mekayla talks about is killing a turkey after she killed her first deer. Was she in a blind or up a tree when your wife killed her bird? Slider
  21. Mekayla and I had been to the woods 3 times this year and hadn't seen anything. We looked at pictures on the game camera and the deer were coming in to the foodplot about 4:00 and we couldnt get there soon enough after work and school. Today we got there about 3:30 and 4 deer ran across the foodplote before we were on stand. We got to the stand and hadn't been there 10 minutes when 2 deer showed up right under the stand. She took a shote and was low, the deer jumed around a little and settled back down, when she gote her secound shot it was on the mark. The deer ran about 50 yards never made it out of the foodplote before it went down. She had a chance to kill the other one but said " I'm gonna waite fore a buck". If you look really close you can se Mekayla and I in the stand in the left upper corner. This was her first bow kill. Slider
  22. Caught the whites and hybryds one night the first week in June, I thinke we had 10 fish over 5lbs a couple weighed 8 to 10. Caught the flathead the middle of Aug. Most all the fish were caught on a purple bettle, below the dam. Slider
  23. I pick the dam, but havent fished the lake though. Slider
  24. We have been throwing watermelon rinds out behind the house. I looked yesterday and something has been eating on them, I wasn't fore sure what so I set my trail came up last night and got this picture. Question I have was the Fox after the Oposom or was it after some melon also? Slider
  25. We used them one spring down at Galena on white bass. They wouldnt much more than hit the water than a white would have it. Seems like they talked about what was legal and what wasnt on another thread this spring. I cant remember what the regulation was though. Slider
