I always wondered what it would be like to have my own island, in the wee hours of April 11th I got a pretty good idea. The great news is that our island was not deserted. There were many people, some I know, and more that I didn't, that were there to do nothing more than help any way they could.
Phil, Jerry, Curtis, Mike Adams, Justin Gage (and your helpers) Bob Klien..... you all answered my call for help, and I thank you.
The folks at the City of Branson Public Works, the Fire Department guys that called me on the dock that night to check on me, The guys at Tracker Marine that stood by with boats just in case they were needed, Table Rock Asphalt, Tom Boyce, Fastenal, L&H Dock Service (the most awesome dock guys in the world) I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did. Charlie Ingram, Carol @ Roark Resort, Justin Gage, thanks for letting me habor some boats in your ports for safety. I'm sure there are many people that helped that I will never know what they did, and to them I say thanks a million... Stop in sometime and let me buy you a cup of coffee.
I had only lived in Branson 1 year and 9 days when this happened. I moved here after coming on vacation, and thinking it would ba a nice community to live in... I didn't have a clue.... The response to our situation was tremendous, and I thank each of you that have called, come by, sent cards, sent food.
Thanks for all the prayers that were said on our behalf, you know who you are.
We are up and running, still have a few systems to get up and going, should have most by Tuesday I would say. I'm sure we'll have more water issues before June (I like Phil's note that says the Corps is going to lower TR 8' by Memorial Day) but we'll work through them one day at a time.
Thanks again for the support, and come by and say hi when you can.
