I'm planning on being there friday around 4. I'll be up by the gauge house probably. I plan on calling Bennet Springs Inn and getting a room if available. If not I think I'll throw in my little tent and sleeping bag just in case.
I'll meet up with you all in the resturaunt parking lot at high noon SAT. if I don't see some of you before.
JJ, I 'll look for the gold Sebring with the keys locked in it... LOL
JJ, I might be there friday afternoon about 3 or 3:30 if I can take off at noon on friday. I have a silver 3 door hatchback baby Toyota Yaris now. Probably be the only one on the stream. I'll be up by the gauge house fishing. Are you still sportin' the tail? I know I can find you if you are. : )

I read Weavers report. This really sucks! I'm not going with the water this high. Maybe by friday May 23rd the stream will be better. I was hoping to go down the 19th but I may wait.
June is good for me before the 18th. OR June 27, 28, 29 ,30. Want to do a Friday and Sat.? Those who can't make Fri. can be there Sat. Meet at the restaurant parking lot at noon for lunch? I'll be there if at all possible.

OK, now I'm excited! Fishing sounds like it's getting more better. I'm going to try for the 23rd or 30th. Hopefully it will not flood down there again this year.
Congratulations No Luck!!!! I was planting flowers yesterday, with the warden looking on, but my heart was at Bennett. Want a beautiful day. I just knew someone would have a good report.
Dang it!! The #16 hybrid midge/olive scud sounds your new secret weapon. I'll get down sometime this month again.
On a positive note for me I caught a 6 lb channel cat at 8:00 lat night on a bunny leech... actually lost one fish and landed and released the second one. Caught them on my old Fenwick glass rod i built over 30 years ago. A 7 weight.
Thanks for the report and congrats on the catch.

It was great to meet Mike (PC) and Pat (brittsnbirds) and Dixie. Mike introduced me to the G-bug and I caught a couple on that, but Mike out fished me for sure. I still had a great time and the weather for the most part was comfortable. It will be nice when the stream slows down to normal. I was pretty uneasy wading in that strong current. I'm ready to go again in a few weeks if anyone is going down. I might do a friday and sat next time. Now... to start tying G-bugs. BTW, Paola Cat has worlds largest fly collection!
I was really hoping to get down next friday the 25th but I'll be watching the weather carefully. I'll keep checking in here to see if you're going for sure. yahoo weather is showing
rain in Lebanon next wed, thurs, friday. Poop!!!!!
My wife and I are coming up on our 40 th anni. in september and we've always wanted to got to Boston and drive up the coast. I'll follow this thread and maybe pm you sometime later
this summer.
I really appreciate all the info, guys. I`'ll plan a trip sometime so the wife and I can come down and snoop around. I suppose I should plan that around a day guided by
John. My wife can read for a few hours. She's not much of a fisherman anymore.
Don, Do you guide also?...sorry for my ignorance.
John,
Guess I better hire you as a guide and I can get some info on the area as well. I hope I 'm npt looking for a job by the time get down there! I'm 61 now and hope like heck to not work after 64 or 65. My Dad retired at 59. I'll research Cotter also.
Sounds great. My wife is retired Kansas teacher. She draws retirement but now teaches in a private school because we have several more years of steep house payments. I'm still working as a Graphic Designer here in Kansas City. Might have to check more into that area. Maybe we need a read trip!
