I'm the same way. I am a power fisherman. Cranks and jigs. I love dirty water and hate clear water. So the muddier the better for my style. I only bass fish so i have no input of how it affects other species. But shallow bass muddy water is where I've caught my best fish on this lake. You,will rarely see me farther north than prairie creek . I just flat suck in the clear stuff.

Same here. We had jack squat on the wart . I caught one on a jerk and partner had one on a jig. That's it.... 2 bites all day. After catching fish for the last 3 weeks on a dang wart couldn't even get a dink on it today. As usual always someone always rolls in with 15-20 pounds. I'll never understand how they do it but that's a huge reason I don't tourney fish much on this lake. If you don't know the honey holes you're basically donating money . It's hard fo most guys to cover enough water to put much more than 10-12 pounds in the boat and all that gets you is a thanks for coming lol. The. Again I've only fished her for a year so that's part of it too. Time on the water learning

Bass lol. I don't fish for anything else . Caught 11 yesterday from10-4 . Biggest 5 around 16#. You guys do any good

Mike I passed you and teddy in the Z520 this morning. Headed to war eagle. Sidewalk hole is a solid sheet of ice!!! Be careful cuz it's about 2inches thick right we where the camps dock is starts the ice sheet and it goes as far as the eye can see . Water temps around there are 38. But everything else was 41-44 down that way . Slow,bite but caught some toads

Was slower for me Saturday as well. Caught 9-10 fished from 9-1 ish around HC area. Top water and sq bill,. But they were t as willing to chase as much had to slow down for sure.

Water temp was 56-58 Satuday around HC

Haven't tried it but I was just thinking a weightless fluke last time out but I never tied it on. I would imagine it would work pretty well

Tried that. I haven't got any action with a buzz. I've followed up the plop with a spook and got a few to hit again

I'm hoping so as well. Feel like I have a pretty good pattern that's held up over numerous trips. On top of catching so many each time doesn't even take into account the 10-20 that blow up the plopper but don't eat it. Otherwise we would be talking 40 fish days lol. Haven't found much size on the. Most are 2# or less but some of the blow ups have looked and felt like bigger fish maybe 3# range. Hard to tell though. I'll be out Saturday morning for awhile so we'll see

I've been out of HC 4 of the last 10 days. Caught no less than 15 each of those days. Had one pushing 5-6# on a Texas rig. But the real bite is top water and square bill all day. Was out Monday and caught almost 20 on the plopper alone. Throw it all day on steeper banks with chunk rock or bluff. Come across a point of lay down follow,it with the sq bill. They are eating all day right now for me. I'll be out Saturday morning as well at HC

I wouldn't say sloooooowwww. But maybe slower? lol. Steady .

Off main lake ... As in the fish I've caught have been more located in coves and pockets Seems like anywhere along those Not necessarily all the way in the back but more spread out all along . For me at least. .

Bite for me has be really good this month. Once they finally drew the lake down the bite really turned on. Probably caught 40 fish in the 5-6 times I've gotten out pattern has been the same from hickory to pc. Fish have really seemed to move back off the main lake and are anywhere from 8" to 8' of water. All my fish have been caught in the skirmish A10. Sounds like a good bite on any shallow crank spinners starting to heat up as well. Spring is close !! Temps anywhere from 53-57

Yeah I strictly fish for bass. Large small. Kentucky. But as I was workin down a bank I just happen so see them all over the graph so on a whim threw back to where I thought they were and it was on. I'm sure I could have tied on a spoon and caught em for awhile . Maybe next time lol

Fished all day Monday had nothing but wiggle warts in mind for the day. Was just gonna sink or swim with em. Caught 9-10 couldn't really find a true pattern. Just kinda spread out. But did catch 4 nice whites just following their school around. Caught the whites on cranks as well . Probably won't get back out til Sunday so we'll see what all the rain does by then

I threw the ww all morning Saturday between horseshoe and hickory and had zero takers. Lake is turning over pretty good in this area so not sure what the deal was cuz I had been killin em for a couple weeks.. I'll be out tomorrow if the rain lets up

Yeah stump. I live close to hickory so that's where I put in . I can't express how much I hate clear water so I tend to fish primarily south of 412 bridge. I have been catching fish consistently for a couple weeks down here. Mostly between hickory and the bridge . I'm a power fisher. So crankin and spinner baits are my strengths and the stained water really helps with that obviously .

Got out around noon. Fished til 530 or so. Caught 7-8 foshing crankbaits around bluffs one good 3 pounder. Then as the sun go lower caught 15-20 on a spook. All in one cut off main lake . Best 30 mins of foshing I can say I've ever had. Literally caught fish on every cast for 20 mins straight. Best 5 of the day would have been around 12 pounds or so. The fish are right on the bank it seems later in the day. As soon as that spook hits they are killin it for me . I've caught em like that for about 2 weeks,now

I've been killing em on the spinnerbait. Probably could have caught 10 more if I threw it today. I just wanted to gain some confidence in the spook. War eagle sexy mouse try it. But you better hold on tight !

I fished all day. From horseshoe back to hickory. Caught 7-8 all on spooks. That's all I threw all day long!!!! Caught. Hog of a Kentucky around 2 lbs
