Maxima all day everyday Never have to worry about that crap happening!!

I fished the Everett as well. Caught 3 keepers. Won $200 for closest to 2 lbs for an hour. Spinnerbait bite til the sun came up then cranked all day with nothing else but shorts. Went back lack out from 4-7 hickory creek area. Caught 10-11 good fish on the same spinnerbait and cranks. 4-5 keepers probably would have weighed 7-8lbs Water color makes all he difference in the world for me. I absolutely hate fishing clear water. Give me dirty all day everyday

Yeah same here. I'm launching very early and getting out of the way until 7 lol
-
Exactly !!
-
I'm fishing in this myself
-
Yeah I am casting to lay downs and chunk rock areas. Slow retrieve seems to work better if I had to gues. Although the flicker shad I've moved a little faster for that initial first couple cranks. Really try and get the reaction bite then slow it down

Got out quite a bit this past week. Bite started off good early last week but seemed to flatten out by Friday with thr temps climbing again. Had a lot of success throwing flicker shads along bluff walls near transitions to chunk rock. Also had a strong bite on wiggle warts in the same fashion. Nothing size wise but caught 20-30 fish in a totAl of maybe 6 hours of fishing time! Seemed like they were all relating to lay downs and stumps close to those chunk rock areas as the Water shallower up to the points. Main lake areas. Water temps still mid 80s. Fished seemed to really like green colors. Not chartreuse but a bright green was,the ticket for me. Top water bite seems to have died for me at least Hopefully we get some cooler nights back again and drop the temps Into that fall patter. Be safe this weekend. And look forward to getting thr lake back from all the big boats soon!!

Casting the flicker shad close to lay downs or stumps. Top water I got into yesterday was main lake flats/points

Fished quite a bit the last couple days. Hickory creek area. Tough bite yesterday was really hoping for a good early bite and top water but couldn't find anything. Caught 6-7 fished from 930 -430. Caught small bass on wiggle warts and flicker shads no true patter just kinda spread out went out tonight from 530-830. Fished close to monte ne area. Had the best night I've had in awhile. Caught10-11 bass on flicker shad close to lay downs Then got into a nice schooling frenzy and caught 3-4 on top. Just had to wait for them to bust the top. Throw the popper to the action and it was automatic !! Such a good time They would bust it as soon as it hit the water. Nothing of any size but I'll take the numbers.

I'll be out of HC this afternoon as well

I won't be able to get out til Saturday but planning on spending the day on the water With this cooler weather snap. Where would you think the fish should be now ? Bushes ??
-
Yeah. She's a princess and she knows it too lol. But she loves to fish and be with daddy so I'm good with it !!

I've caught plenty of gar on crankbaits. To the point where if I even see a gar I load up and find another spot. It's not worth the hassle

Sounds like a good night. I took out of hickory creek and fished some bluff ends and shallows with brush. Caught 1 bass out of 15 ft or so crankin. Flicker shad in red craw color. Had a few hit right at the boat. Too many boats makin waves to finesse for me. I'll probably be out mist the day Sunday n Monday when it calmer hopefully

Posted a video. Let me know if it works

it was a great time. She has a Barbie fishing pole. Nothing fancy. I actually tied her on a small rattle trap so it would cast good and sink once it hit then she just reeled it in I have to help her with the cast but after that it's all her. She can cast by herself pretty well but hasn't quite figured out when to let her thumb off the button so a lot of times she swings it then let's go and it just drops straight down. But she does really well. I don't have a video on here but I'll try to post one soon

Had a great day with my 3yr old daughter today. Took her back to hsb area where I was catching so many bluegill Monday and Tuesday. We fished about 4 hours and probably caught close to 20. She had a blast !!! Caught her first fish all by herself Caught a 4-5 small bass then all gills from there. All along the bluffs with crankbaits. Great day of making memories.
-
I fished basically the entire horseshoe bluff had water temps 88ish. But all I could get were the bluegills. Saw a lot of bass follow my lure to the boat but nothing I did could get a strike
-
I agree. They would literally hit a dd22 as it hit the water, I couldn't even get my hand onto the reel before they were on it. I even had a couple times with one on each treble double style I'll prob take my daughter back to that spot tomorrow so she can catch some even though I hate taking them off with a mouthful oh trebles lol
-
Well I made it out Monday and Tuesday. Beautiful weather. Lil cooler. And had he lake to myself it seemed. Still couldn't get on any fish. Spoke to a guy loading up this morning He said his Sunday bass club last week with 10 boats didn't weigh a fish at all !! Sounds about right ! All I could catch today were bluegill probably caught 10 on a flicker shad. I saw a ton of fish follow,my baits to,the boat but wouldn't take. On everything from worms in every color, to crankbaits to creature baits. Anyone have ideas on what I should do when they follow all the way to the boat but won't take ?? Probably won't get to fish again til next week so be safe out there

Fished out of hickory creek. Down towards war eagle area. Thought the skies were gonna help me out today with clouds so had everything set up for a shallower bite but an hour in the sun was back in effect so switched back to deep cranks and fished primarily bluff walls and edges Caught 4 shorts. 1 on a football jig and the others on different cranks. Had a few bites on soft jerk baits. But could land any. I'll be back out tomorrow most of the day. Plan on heading up towards hsb area and trying the same pattern. Waters temps were high 80s.
