  1. I have to agree with Wayne, end of February as well as mid october have produced my best numbers from River Run to the Pothole. This of course is all dependent on water. Bank fishing will have to pull through this year im afraid.

    bait ?

Bob's no longer sells tackel. He is only doing taxidermy, and very little of that.
  3. Bryant Smallie You know as well as I do how many rogues i've lost up there the last few years. I went up their after church the other day and it was amazing. It is is amazing looking at it now compared to when it was up so high. The worst part about the whole thing, they have now put up a sign prohibiting wading past the cable. to answer your question about the rogues, they had already been picked over, only saw a few crusty sliders.
  4. Went out last sunday afternoon downstream from beaver and caught 2 cigar walleye, 1 white, and 8 black crappie. There was no real pattern. We did pick the crappie up along bluffs. Fish were caught on Sliders and hair jigs. It was amazing how shallow the were. Kinda like how the cappie on Table Rock were 2 weeks ago. I wish we would get a little bit of water flow on BS. A year ago today my buddy and I caught 3 keeper Walleye after dark, one of mine went 7 his went 9 lbs. Talk about a great trip to the pot hole.
  5. It has been an amazing year. It will last well into february as well as march and april. It has only just begun. I went out on the water saturday moning in the rain and fished near yocum and long. Water was turned over and fishing was awful.

    Trout for the table

I am curious why you would gut and skin a trout before you fillet'd it, doesn't that double the work with the same end product............Im just wondering....Please explain and I might learn something new about cleaning a trout. Thanks
  7. My name is Jeremy Rasnick and I do a lot of fishing on the Tri-Lakes. I use to consider my self a bass fisherman until i discoverd greener grass. With bass fishing not being as good as it use to be on these lakes, Especially for me, I have taken advantage of the variety of panfishing opportunites. We have had an excellent kick off on crappie this season, even a few whites and walleye. I hope this is a good indication of the months to come. Good luck to all in 2006.
