  1. Help! Isnt anyone out there interested in these pontoons? These are excellent buys. Make me an offer...something fair. Mama wants 'em outta the garage. ha loo10
  2. Oh my........... could the Taneycomo Giant Man Eating Killer Squid be morphing onto land? Stay tuned. Ooooooo.......
  3. 1.) You can boat & fish the restricted area upsteam from Fall Creek to Lookout with a 16' jon boat with no water running...just be careful. 2.) It's shallow. Probably not without a jet outboard. 3.) Tennis court is easy. Others go by various names. 4.) When the bluff starts to angle downward, if you look up you will see the fenced railing along highway...that is Lookout. Lookout Island is dead ahead across from Point Royale. Good luck. loo10
  4. I have had some fish slam mice patterns before & it'll definately get your heart pounding. Seeing your post has me thinking I need to pursue that again. loo10
  5. Since this post continues..... I will throw my 2 cents worth in. Go to a fly shop and pick 3 rods in the weights you are considering...and cast them. If you throw one....I think you'll buy a Scott. If you've ever really mashed a golfball... or hit a homerun.. you know that effortless feeling when it just "takes off"!!!! That happens when you throw a Scott flyrod correctly. I own several...they are all awesome!! loo10
  6. Maybe it's that "Busch Light in your other hand" that contributed to the near misses. ha

    BBQ

Danna's..... I know how to get there but not sure of the address. Take Fall Creek Road past Phil's & Cooper Creek like you're going to the dam. When it "T's... turn right. It's only a couple of doors on your left. Was next to the Fall Creek steakhouse that burnt down. Closed on Sunday's. Went to Farmhouse for breakfast last trip down. It was awful. Service was bad and the food was not good either. I'd heard it was good though. That's kinda why I was asking.

    BBQ

Great Idea... I'm going to throw my 2 cents in on where we go on BRANSON when we're down there flinging flies. These places have come thru trial-n-error... 1.) Mr G's Chicago Pizza. Downtown Branson. Commercial & Atlantic Unbelieveable deep dish Chicago style pizza. Try the "Mr. G's Favorite". 2.) Charley's Steak & Ale. Hwy 76. Good food. All you can eat ribs on Fridays. Maybe Dawn will even sing to you. 3.) Danna's. Great BBQ, burgers, and chocolate malts! 4.) Backyard Burger on Hwy 76. It's where the old Burger King used to be. I pass this place on my way back home after an afternoon of chasing rainbows. Stays open till 11. Best tasting Backyard Burgers I ever had. Beats every other one I've been to. Hope this gives helps some of you out. Now.....where do you get the best breakfast in Branson??? I don't know how you screw up breakfast but I've been to a few that can! loo10
  9. I have a 10 wgt. 8'8" Scott Heliply rod too. I have only used it on muskies & pike a few times. Brian, you'd use it on trout at Taney in the Fall? Seems heavy to me but I'd like to use it more as it's an awesome rod. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts. Good luck Tim selling it. Scott's are great rods. I love every one I own. loo10

    Homemade salsa

If you like homemade salsa, you gotta go to the State Fair next month (August) and get a Kitchen 2000 which they'll demo in one of the buildings. Bought one last year...best $30 bucks ever spent. Trust me...this thing is great!!! So easy.......& great salsa! Now we have salsa all the time...no store bought junk. I dont have anything to do with them; Im just a very satisfied salsa lover & flyflinger. loo10
  11. I have two (2) Trout Trap pontoon boats for sale. They have never been in the water. They have 10' pontoons, stripping aprons, rod holder, storage bags, tuben flippers, and Carlisle oars. I bought them and just never got around to using them. I'd like to sell both for $500. One for $300. loo10
  12. I have 2 Trout Traps pontoon boats that have never been in the water. They come with oars, seats, storage bags, 10' pontoons, extra bladders, etc. I got them after I'd fished in one and loved it. I just never inflated them. They are new. I would sell BOTH for $500. One for $300. Contact me if you'd like to see them. loo10
  13. Chili dogs and waders... ain't you guys NEVER gonna learn? Next time one of you floats down by Lookout with your waders all ballooned out again... I AIN'T A-GONNA PICK YOU UP!!!!!!!!!!
  14. You don't see "the Squid.... but the Squid sees YOU! Rememba' dat!
  15. Jeremy, Nice fish. I appreciate your input and enjoy your web site and videos. Dont let it get you down...it's not worth it. loo10
  16. I heard the secret was little fingers.
  17. Terry, You told me that was one of your old porn tricks..... to angle the camera upward to make everything appear bigger. You ol' dawg...now you're doing it with the fish too! loo10
  18. I would like to know if anyone has an unused boat slip on Taneycomo I could rent on a long term basis? Phil, at Lilley's is gracious enough to rent me a slip occasionally when he has one available but I'd like to rent one by the week, month or year. Can anyone help? I get tired of pulling my boat back to Springfield all the time. Thanks all!! loo10
  19. Mercy sakes!!!!! The way this was handled was bad. Whatever happened to going to a brother and telling him your grievances face-to-face? Leonard, I wish you the best and thank you for your willingness to share. I got jumped on this forum once. Falsely I might add. And then, after stoning me good...I saw one of my accusers fishing early one morning in the restricted area using bait. It's only fishing....and none of us own the resource. Lighten up....Gee Whiz!!!!
  20. I'm just glad to hear about the effort made to keep that fish alive. Sometimes, we just can't revive them. But we have to try as long as it takes. That's one of the hardest things to teach people who begin to fish at Taney. You can't just lip them and flip 'em back in like a bass or bluegill. If you do, they'll go belly up for sure. I've had very good luck holding them upright in the water till they swam out of my hands. Sometimes it takes so long that my hands go numb from the cold water....but it almost always works...IF I AM PATIENT. I believe the biggest portion of 14-20" fish in the regulated area have been caught and released. So when you catch one.....thank the guy or gal who went to the trouble to release properly when it was caught previously. Thanks to that person, you got a chance at it too. Good lesson for all of us to heed.
  21. Where you figure these fellas buy their waders????
  22. Maybe we could call it "Straight From Leonard's Lips"
  23. Mush-mush-mush..... But in truth I've lost 3 good friends that I liked to fish with. One was my Dad. A very good man who could really fish. He's been gone 7 years. Sometimes it seems like a lot longer. Id give ANYTHING to fish with him one more time!! The second guy was a friend of mine who's life just got so hectic that he quit fishing. We used to tie flies together & then go try them out. I've asked him many times over the last few years to go again but he just can't seem to make it happen. Maybe he's just moved on. Too bad too....he was a great guy to laugh with. I miss him. Ma....if you read this...call sometime. The third guy basically decided money was more important than our friendship; so he took the cash & I hit the road. After years & years of fishing, drinking port wine, and toking on stogies... we just went our separate ways over money. Friendship lost for a crappy reason. So enjoy the foggy nights, the laughter, and the shovels full of s*** you give & get from your buddies....cause it could vanish. Good fishing all. The big ones are heading upstream.
  24. That thing is ugly............. ........so's the fish!
  25. I laughed right out loud at this one. Thanks!
