  1. Ive gotta say, i'll put my polarized oakley's up against anything. CDM's are real nice though.
  2. You'll never be able to beat a G-Shock for a durable waterproof watch that keeps on ticking. it's always tuned in to the exact second too.
  3. Coming down Saturday, and maybe Monday. Anybody care to give me an update on water clarity and/or depth?
  4. Okay, so if i am reading the graph correctly, RR went up about 5 feet during the rain, and now it is back down to only a foot above what it was before the rain?
  5. i was there on Saturday, 3-29. the water was definately getting better. still high/fast, but the fish are somewhat see-able again. i noticed that dry hollow wasn't near as high either, so things are getting back to normal. i had luck on olive and tan woolies. the tan seemed to work better though. throwing the wooly into the really fast current just up from the big oak tree in the middle of the C&R area really made the fish bite. hoping i can get back up there soon! BTW, where are these white bass at RR?
  6. i'm hoping the rain will hold off for the most part, and it will continue to improve the next couple of days. i'm still shooting for a Saturday outing.
  7. Probably gonna try it out next Saturday. Do you think it will be okay by then?
  8. so how's RR's flood situation looking now? are the waters receding any? i was planning to spend much of my spring break up there, but the rain really put a damper on it. now i am stuck at the house and getting extremely stir crazy!! thank goodness for march madness.
  9. Are the beetles fishing good right now? i haven't had much luck on top so far, but i attributed that to the high/fast water.
  10. yeah, i have caught several nice ones there, and was just wondering if a lunker had to make from the hatchery all they way down in order survive. off topic - have any of you ever caught any panfish at RR? i fish about every weekend at RR, and i have caught some of the best looking panfish on dry flies there.
  11. do they take any of the big fish directly to the C&R area?
  12. I own 2 pair of Orvis waders. One pair is a 3.5 year old clearwater model ($130), and the other pair is a 1 year old silver label model ($190). Both pair have leaks in them. I am sending them back to Orvis for repair, but i am also considering a new pair of waders. I am pretty good about taking care of my waders, but I want a pair that won't leak after only 1 or 2 fishing seasons. I am considering the Simms Rivershed model ($300) and the Orvis Tailwater XT model ($300). Does anybody have any suggestions on a better pair that I have not mentioned?
  13. that is what the people at orvis thought. it was sunday night, and i dont know who they had answering phones, but the best answer they could give me was that they thought it might be an exclusive model for bass pro. sure isn't on their web site though.
  14. i saw a green orvis mid arbor reel at roaring river this sunday. the guy said they just came out, but i can't find them anywhere. im looking for one to go on my 4 wt. T3. ive called orvis, looked on their website, but no luck. any suggestions?
