Thanks David and Terry for your thoughts and opinions. Dano your reply is a little closer to what I am looking for. Thanks! But I would still like to hear some personal reviews of the two rods. I am not looking for marketing hype but personal reviews. What can you tell me about them? Thanks, Matt
Dan,
Great picture! It should be in a calender. I grew up in Farmington and fished the Big River and the St. Francois River as a kid for smallies. Some good memories. Matt
With all of those nice things said above about the 11 point river be careful when in or around the river. I have seen some great big Cottonmouths. One fell out of a tree and into my canoe once. Besides the big Poisonous snakes try to enjoy the scenic beauty of the river. Superfly
Flydude,
Plan your trip around the weather in the March. Try to catch it in between the rains or when the river is at a normal flow rate. Brian at The Eleven Point Canoe Rental can help get you on the fish. Give him a call. The 11 point river is a great fishery and a peaceful place. Good luck and have fun.

Costanza,
Just because you were sick or your wife would not let you go fishing that day is know reason to make fun of Bryan's 18 inch rainbow. I guess you still don't feel good or need your eyes checked. Superfly
Brian,
Thanks again for a great January day on the 11 point. Your expertise and education of the river is greatly appreciated. The drift boat is an experince that I will not forget. I look forward to my next adventure on the river.

jdmidwest,
Thanks for the instructions for the pickerel. One thing is for sure all Ozark streams fished better 30 to 50 years ago. I am glad that you got to fish it back then. I would like to hear more stories. As far Brain, I think he has payed his dues on the 11 point. Matt
Brian, Thanks for the great report and nice pics. I am glad you guys got a chance to use those bitches. I always have a good time with them. Keep us posted on the water levels. I would like to make it down between holidays. Superfly
Some where along the way I heard that fluorocarbon has a higher specific gravity than mono. So the theory was to use fluoro for nymphing and mono for dry flies. Does it matter. Any thoughts on this.
Phil and Rolan,
Thanks for supporting the interest of a rod building class. I think January is a great time for the class. Let me know how I can help. Matt
I am interested in building a fly rod. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in teaching a rod building class or hosting a seminar on it sometime this winter. Does anyone else have this interest. Matt
