  2. I dont think there will be that many boats this year with the april date, the kids will still be in school so many will not be able to make it a family vacation as in the past.I can see it now 400 boats and 800 anglers all throwing the A-Rig.So far this year Norfork has been fishing great with about 50% keepers. In recent tournaments it has taken about 20lbs to win

  3. I called Josh at Here & There Mobile Marine Repair Tuesday 2/7 and explained the oil injection problem I was having. He came out today 2/9 and fixed the problem in no time and also did a compression test.It was so nice to have someone explain what they was doing as the did it.Also was nice to have the service come to me instead of having to unload everything out of the boat ,take to a repair shop drop it off and wait a week or two to pick it back up.I would highly recommend his service,he has reasonable prices and 20+ years of experience. He is very professional his # 734-693-4932 and he is in the Mtn Home area.

  5. I live 9 miles from boggy but I never fish norfork. my BIL fishes all the time on norfork, but he never invites me....

Here is a example this was just posted this morning on the BBC...had a terrific day today on Norfork. Fish are fairly shallow (at least today) and very healthy after a couple three years of high water in the spring. Caught 22 Keepers today (15" plus) and my sack of five topped the scales 16.20 lbs. No big fish , but really solid keepers. Caught fish on A*&^$#@-rig................Water temps are 47 to 51 degree's and color in main lake; Creek arms are little more stained, but still very fishable. Just wanted to pass this along so that if some of you guys are considering going, don't hold back; Fishing is good right now

  6. nearly everyone who fishes norfork for bass does it for fun. if they wanted to fish for food bass on norfork is a losing proposition.

Dude your fishing a different Lake Norfork than I am as of this fall.Even the Kids down the road was bringing home limits of bass on A-Rigs everyday during there Holiday break from school.I have been getting about 50% fish over 15" each day out.Right now I think Norfork is fishing better than Bull but then I spend more time on Norfork.

  7. Gerry's Quik stop (870-492-5141) in Moutain Home carrys a knock off called "Bama Rig". Cost is about $10, they come in two sizes. I think the regular "Alabama rig" retails for about $25.

No doubt the A-Rig is a fish catching rig, proof is all the tournaments that have been won the last 2 months here on Norfork but my concern is now that the meat fisherman on to the bait I just wonder what if any effect the increased take of keeper fish to the table will have on the fishery a few years down the road.

  8. If you want a Jerkbait that will truely suspend without having to weight the hooks or use suspend strips, you may want to look at going to an Ima Flit 120 over a Megabass or McStix. The IMa's are better in cold water anyhow, when you need a less aggressive action. They also run a little deeper than the vision or mcstix.

  9. I posted a topic on bassboatcentral about this about a month ago after I watched the live weigh in on the FLW tournament and saw some guys plugging the new baits coming out by Luck E Strike. They were showing the "wiggle wart" knock off at the time so I did a search and found that Luck E Strike has a few new line of baits and also ran across the rick clunn "vision 110" rip bait....or rip off I should say. But at around 5 bucks you can buy 5 or 6 for the price of ONE megabass. Who knows if they will perform like the Vision 110 but I'll be sure to give them a shot this spring. Here is the link to the RC Stick and "wart hog".

  10. BassMasters Elite Comes to Bull Shoals Next Year

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Elite #3

    Dates: April 19-22

    Venue: Bull Shoals Lake

    Host: Arkansas

    Size 45,000 surface acres

    Impounded: 1951

Notes: B.A.S.S. has held six previous events on Bull Shoals, but none (other than a 2006 WBT tournament) since 1991. Despite the small number, Bull Shoals has a big place in B.A.S.S. history. Dee Thomas, the inventor of flippin’, introduced the world to his technique by winning the 1975 Arkansas Invitational here. With the victory — and a subsequent series of features in Bassmaster Magazine — flippin’ became the hottest technique on the Tournament Trail. It still is, really, and Bull Shoals is where the story broke

  11. Welcome aboard! Do you do trailer repairs, mainly I'm thinking blown wheel bearings where a guy is stuck on the side of the road with a bad bearing. Assuming it happens in NW AR or SW MO.

He is not starting off very well.10 days and no reply to your post.
