  1. Your kidding me 550,000 for a CONDO? Or 750,000 Or more? Your kidding me!!! I have seen many condos at Fall creek and other areas to buy on realtor.com a few months ago for around 55,000 dollars or so to own i think! Your kidding.....are you? haha
  2. I know the agents are probably Overworked and Understaffed like the rest of us. However, being a boat fisherman below Fall Creek area always, I have never seen a Game warden there or been checked. I am always legal in my boat, trout stamp and MO licence there. I do wish i would see more of the agents, I agree there are some "people" awwwwww i mean CRIMINALS that don't care about the rules. "I'm going fishing and i will do whatever i wanna" is the attitude. I agree there needs to be some bi-lingual signs!
  3. Yah i heard that too that the condos were sold out already. My Opinion is with Branson landing they should've waited for EVERYTHING to get done in the shopping center before opening it...i mean the riverwalk/bps marina/most of the condos/etc...are not completed yet. Just a greedy developer opening up shop before the place is 100% finished.... However I guess i'm neutral about it, not bad but i don't think it is the "multimillion dollar" great boom to branson either. Yes Friday night right at dark 8:55pm of so, every boat around had thier navigations on, it was dark, a boat right in front of the fountains had kids out on 2 tubes right in front of the landing. I couldn't belive it. I hope they let more cold water out of table rock to keep the idiots away. Taneycomo is no place for waterskiiers and tubes/etc in downtown branson.
  4. It really makes me sad personally when people break the rules. I assume there are signs everywhere up there "flies only" etc. I've never fished below the dam, only below fall creek since i'm a "bait" fisherman usually. It really is a shame when people break the rules and poach, it is sad that there isn't a game warden around when you need them either. Fourty fish taken home the day before, dang I wish they were in the POKEY for that one. I don't go above fall creek for a reason! There are rules and I always buy my trout stamp and stop at 4 fish a day for a reason. I want everybody to catch a fish or 2, not just myself. I HATE POACHERS AND GAME THEIFS!
  5. Well all i can say is kinda neat after the day's fishing to sit there at idle right at dusk and watch the fountains from the lake....Seems like alot of money was spent there for a big shopping center. Went in bass pro was surpised how small it was there. The BPS marina isn't open yet of course, but is anybody noticing more pressure and boat traffic on the lake because indirectly Branson Landing? It is kinda neat they have a few resturants that you can watch the lake from if your a "non-boater" Garfields and Famous Daves BBQ. Just wondering what everybody thinks of this being there now?
  6. Yes those maps are good for the upper end, however I feel a good map of below fall creek, and all the way to forsyth would be nice...with areas to fish.....of course the island above the 3 bridges would be there.... Would love to have a good map with some tips and pointers.....
  7. Do you know of people that have done fairly well doing it? just wondering? Is the bass/bluegill fishing any good?
  8. Just curious...how many of you have went up in the creeks in a boat and caught bluegill, bass, etc....crappie? Just wondering. Alot of times I limit out on trout in 2 hours of fishing, then sitting around boating up and down the lake, looking at the fountains at branson landing haha.... Drove up to forsyth the other day, saw all sorts of creeks to possibly use a trolling motor and get up into, i figured the water warms up in them. Is there a slot limit on bass? How is the fishing there for things other than trout?? Just curious.
  9. I think it is a great idea, hot spots maps are in my tackle box on every lake in missouri. I like them cause if you have no idea where to go, they give you an idea. I don't always trust the "fish here" advice but they are a neat map... Taneycomo has needed a fishing map for ages....I'm glad, they are very detailed as well...
  10. Thank you guys, i gotta "check in" daily, I wish you had it all when camping/fishing. Good cell service from your camper. No luck, but glad to hear at the top of the hills i could drive to get signal. Roaring River is like that as well.
  11. Thinking of going to Mountauk State park instead of Roaring River to camp & trout fish for a change of pace. Any Idea if Cingulair phones get any kind of Signal in the park?
  12. Love the stories, very intersting... I've been coming to Taneycomo since 1995. I was always the person who owned a boat, either a old paid for Lowe 16 footer back then, now a fancy Cobra 18 foot fiberglass model...very blessed. I was introduced by my dad, stayed at Tanglewood lodge and went out caught 5 trout and limited out in 1995 in about an Hour. I was Hooked. Currently I go there alot since I'm living in springfield, also use Stockton lake alot. The thing I love about Taneycomo is an expert can catch fish on flies, and lures etc....or novices can catch a fish or two on power baits. Yearly my Aunt/Uncle up in Kansas City come down to their Time share at Roark Inn (next to Scaggs hospital) to catch trout. I take them out on my boat and use the Power baits. My aunt who hasn't caught many fish will limit out there very nice for the family. She screams "i got one i got one..." when she hooks in, we start laughing cause of the act she puts on...."oh gosh don't loose that fish, don't let him get off" haha...etc... Great Lake we have here....we are VERY lucky in Missouri...
  13. A yacht company running big boats on Taney? What on earth is the world coming to? I despise big boats like that...they are ruining our waters....Look at Lake of the Ozarks....
  14. Went camping down at Roaring River state park over the weekend, Poured rain. I hope this brings the lake up, has it effected it any? All i know is Roaring River pours into the lake, gosh i wanna see the lake get up closer to Normal pool....
  15. All i can say is when Branson Landing goes in and if it increases boat traffic any (which it will) I see a "no wake" zone going in around the downtown area and at least up to the 1st bridge heading "upstream". I cannot imagine how many high speed boats will be running in this area with BPS new marina there...etc... (course the white ducks aren't high speed...haha)
  16. I love that tent on the Dock that is a Hoot... Good idea for keeping the wind off you i guess fishing? haha.... Those guys Deserve a Beer for their efforts!
  17. I agree Lilleys Landing would be a great place for a beginner to get help. Drift rigs with power bait is the "idiots" (me for example haha) way to fish and usually catch a few trout.... More challenging fishing off a boat is throughing rapalla's, small spoons, jig's, and more.... I agree go to the professionals on the lake, and get some tips i'm sure they will help you out and you will have a good day on the lake. I agree, definatelly get some hints to where the Shoals are in the lake, especially now with the Lake being down several feet.
  18. I'm a boat taney fisherman not a bank one first of all, but i agree there is alot of dumb and rude people in the world... However, I tend to agree, AVOID THE WEEKENDS!!! Fish during the week to avoid the crowds... However, None of us Anglers have a "I own this part of the lake all to myself card" So we have to share and try to get along. I've had boats on the lake frown at me when you are fishing around say an area where the trout are biting and say there is 15 boats congrigated in a 1/2 mile area on the lake. I just smile and say Hi how are you doing today, nice day something like that... I have just as much right to inch in there than anybody else... And me on my Cobra bass boat can use my Trolling motor to get out of the way of a boatload of First time fisherpeople in their pontoons (say they are running current in the lake that day)... I do it with a smile, cause i know they are new and aren't as experianced.... Don't have as nice of equipment as me... Yes there is some rude people, but try not to be rude back....Give it a try....They have just as much right to fish as you guys do. I also find it hard to belive at anytime walking the bank or wading you would have the lake to yourself....however, i'm not a bank fisherman so i don't know... Just playing Devils advocate
  19. All i can say is I'm for and against the Landing. Would be nice to have a nicer marina there, but i Agree I hate to have boats running up and down the lake by "new" boaters being sold a boat. If i was a BPS salesman running boats on test runs, I would Run from the Landing down to Rockaway beach. FAR less boat traffic that way and the lake gets wider. My feeling is the area around Branson Landing to at least the 1st bridge will be made into a NO WAKE ZONE by the water patrol There is too much marauding boats there to allow for much more traffic....Or maybe a speed limit enforcement....??? I am shocked that there isn't a NO WAKE ZONE there now! I hate idealing down as well as most here, but Dead tourists/Fisherman and Kids from a boat wreck at 40 MPH would be very bad.....
