  1. I just caught this post. I saw this this, so called boat too. it was above Trout Hollow. Not sure if it was that day though.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I went out on taneycomo anyway today and caught several nice keeper bows (12" to 14") dragging a black/silver Rapala, boy is my brother inlaw going to be jealous when I rub it in to him tomorrow.
  3. You mention that you noticed some dying shad. Do you know the reason the shad are dying. Ive also heard that the dying shad come through the generators at the dam and the trout in Taneycomo will start hiting white and silver baits. Know anything about that.
  4. Having all the right hardware is good, but what is a technique for locating crappie. Is there a preferable surface water temp / depth, to begin hunting. Do you use a paticular bait to locate them with.
  5. My wife (God bless her) got me a new tackle system for valentine. The soft side with individual boxes. It's great, very flexable. I want to gear up to Crappie now. What are the main staples I should have. I have very limited ( I havn't fished for crappie much before) Crappie supplies. Also is there rule of thum on colors. I will probably spend most of my time on Table Rock. From what I've been reading in this forum Long Creek seems to be the place to start.
  6. Just up stream from the last resort (I can't remember the name) before the condos, stay to the bluff side, there is a gravel bar with stump at short creek. It eats alot of props. Also use light line 4lb. I tie a 4lb flourocarbon leader about 10-15 ft onto my main line it makes a noticable difference. Leave Some For Me!
  7. I was just sitting here admiring the view out my window of lake Taneycomo on this cold day. Just the accasional boat goes by. I see a few trout jumping, but no boats are in view to see if anyone is catching. I would like to be on the water trolling favorate lures but I need to get back to work (It is very hard to get work done with such a view) see you all later.
