  1. What line are you guys currently using. I have used 4# Maxima, trilene XL, 3.1#Tectan, and lately a couple of flourocarbons, mostly 4# Vanish. I think I like the vanish since I think it allows me to fish a size lighter jig like a 3/32 instead of a 1/8 due to it's sinking characteristics over the monos. I have had a few issues with bad knots, but could have been me. Usually like the palomar knot, but can be tough to get the doubled over section through the tie on those jigs, so I use the trilene when in a hurry to retie. What are you guys currently using for line, and what do you like/dislike about it? The tectan used to be my favorite, but last few spools I got were bad, so I have given up/lost confidence in it. Just curious what has been working for you guys. Would like for any of you Taney guys to chime in as well. Seems to be more Jig guys up your way.
  2. http://www.whiteriver.net/trimbles/shadkill.htm Check this out. It was working during the last shad kill a few years ago. Might help keep the rumors down.

  4. IMHo the lower river is much better for big fish. Hwy 14 to rush, and rush to the confluence of the white. second float requires two days at least, three is better. Check with Wild Bill outfitters(google them) on Hwy 14 south of Yellville IMHO the lower river is much better for big fish and good water to fish.
