  1. So the people that are all hanging down at the public access are supposed to care enough to go and read MDC's website. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. If we can't convince them to pick up their trash how are we supposed to make sure they have the right shoes on. They don't care about what they are doing. OB you say some great things. And I agree with you on this, it is our responsibility to know. But we also should be responsible enough to realize that some people will never know and even some that do will not care and do whatever they want anyway. I will abide by the new law and I will be thrilled to get my second set of new boots in 12 months. But I will always be a little upset when its the fisherman that abide by the law are the only ones being held responsible for this. Hell I hear an ash borer beetle commercial on the radio everyday. They can do a better job of getting their info out.
  2. And to think I could have picked all that up while I was in Dollar General. But honestly, how many people are going to do that or even know to do that? I wouldn't get a ticket if I showed up at Taney with my waders already wet, but I would get one if I was wearing felt? I'm not against the ban, everything they can do to stop it is okay with me, but they need to be doing EVERYTHING, besides just telling fisherman to buy new boots.
  3. That's true. I know they say that those areas are able to dry out quicker, thus eliminating the snot. But there have been several times that I have worn my waders and boots from one location to another. I wore them on the NFOW then kept them on and went to Taney, even went into a Dollar General wearing them. So whatever was inside my boots from NFOW is now also in Taney. That's where the problem is going to come from.
  4. darn Wayne, you are just being too logical. Now fall in line and start complaining like everyone else. Because we all know that this is the place to get the law changed.
  5. Did you guys hear about the podcast?
  6. Just figured a couple guys of your caliber would have something better to say about it then spend all your time on a fishing forum being the internet ettiquette police. But whatever, continue on with your bad selves.
  7. Well then I demand I be removed from probation. Has anyone actually listened to the podcast? Or are you all content talking about stupid shlt. I admit I haven't listened to it but I probably will tonight.
  8. I'm a mayo guy myself.
  9. Wrong. In it's purest sense; Spam (officially styled SPAM; derived from SPiced HAM) is a canned precooked meat product made by the Hormel Foods Corporation, first introduced in 1937. The labeled ingredients in the classic variety of Spam are chopped pork shoulder meat, with ham meat added, salt, water, modified potato starch as a binder, and sodium nitrite as a preservative. Spam's gelatinous glaze, or aspic, forms from the cooling of meat stock.
  10. Oh yeah? Well I reported you and Phil is putting you on double secret probation. So nanner, nanner.
  11. As weird as it sounds there are actually quite a few of them out there. http://diydrones.com/group/arducopterusergroup
  12. The Gurgler is the best warm water fly ever. Nice job Troutbum. You spend way more time dressing them than I do, but it looks great. Aro - If I use hackle on mine I always cut the belly flat so it sits in the water the way it should. Nothing better than skating them across the end of a run and watching the water explode.
  13. You wants me to come stand next to you with my 8wt soon???
  14. Those were probably bought years ago at Backcountry Outfitters, but you can get them at just about any flyshop or online.
  15. Nice fish.
  16. Pay attention to these statements. That's where they live and they are usually not too hard to catch when you find them. They won't fight like a smallmouth but the take will probably be incredible especially if your fishing on top. I've caught more on the Eleven Point than anywhere.
  17. Little wiffle ball on the garvel bar. I like that.
  18. Beautiful little creek and nice pictures.
  19. This one is just basically a wooly. But it looks good in the water and works well enough.
  20. I've got a lot of good fishing buddies. Many great memories from the year. This one is the best.
  21. Well there went your chance to go on a trip.
  22. Thanks BCG. It's one of my favorites.
  23. Drew, I think you need to read this again. Nobody attacked you. I had to read it again too just figure out who Wrench was talking about.
  24. There's plenty of wading water on the James. Shelvin and Kerr are good places for wading. Several spots around Galena. But like RS says, there's plenty of other water around too.
  25. Yep and we all take black helicopters to the river. We are the real men in black.
