Phil, If wishes were horses, us beggers could ride. I hope you find some folks with deep enough pockets to fill your spaces. Air fare, ground transportation, air taxi and all the rest just put the trip of my dreams just that... dreaming. Good luck to you. Mark
  2. I am a long time Taneycomo fisher, I think I started in 1974 with my friend Will St.Clair. That was when the mulberry or some other breed of tree was still at the base of the steps of outlet #2. It was usually full of flies. Fishing then was very good as the grass beds and their scud populations were still very productive. When the grass beds and scuds went so did the fishing until the new scud population was re-introduced. I don't know exactly when that was, but in the early 80's. By 1990 the upper lake was so over fished I hardly went until after the slot limits were started. So, you can see how the slot limits and artificials only and catch and release fishing has improved the fishing in upper T'como. I encourage fishermen to explore while fishing instead of becoming what a fellow fisher once told me in Yellowstone...'fish early and move around before the potted plants arrive' and that applies to t'como. Don't be a potted plant and put down roots in one spot, share your favorite lies with some new person.
  3. Today. From big hole to below boat launch island. Saw a couple of redds along gravel bar below rocking chair. But, alas, no browns
  4. Hunters. Rachel Ray gave out a recipe last week. Served with sausage and eggs.
