  1. No this isn't Terry. LMW, I'm sorry, I knew what you meant, but couldn't resist the big softball.
  2. John, How do you fish them? You didn't mention any weights( beads or Lead) in the materials list. Do you fish them w/ split shot or behind another weighted fly? It seams to me that a # 22 would flow in the surface film and never get very deep. Curious.
  3. Wow, size # 22. I'm not sure I can tie a fly that tiny. All thumbs.
  4. Thanks for the info. Makes me crave the river.
  5. John, What does a Dan's turkey quill emerger resemble? Do you have a pattern for this fly or something similar? Thanks in advance.
  6. Seeing an eagle fishing would make the day. Catching several fish was icing on the cake. How was the bite? any specific pattern? Deep v.s shallow, current v.s eddies, fast v.s. slow, structure? I have done well in the late fall in the deep holes. It seems if you can find the fish, you catch several. Finding the fish can be a challange.
  7. Thanks for the response. How has the white been? Has the generation been the same? Or is there periods of no generation?
  8. I will be going the the Norfork mid January and need to tie up some flies. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated. I need a John Berry report. Thanks.
  9. Thats a pretty good day for winter bass fishing. Did you see any other wildlife worth mentioning? Eagles or Osprey? The current is a beautiful river, and the winter can be the best time to be on the river. You will typically have the river to yourself. Thanks for the report.
  10. I don't care how ugly it is, if it catches fish I would us it. However, doesn't look like a bait that I would have enough confidence it to fish long enough to find out.
  11. Not if there is a catch and keep fisherman catching and keeping the released fish. Fishing just down stream.
  12. Nice pic's and thanks for the report. I enjoyed visiting w/ you at your shop Last Monday. I appreciate you showing me the flies that you were using. I tied up some scuds using the mustad hooks that you sold me and caught several nice fish Wednesday morning between Outlet 1 & 2. Once again, Thanks.
  13. Don, I had the same thought prior to reading your post. I agree. I think this is a bad trend for sports. I'm stubborn. I'll stop watching sports before I start subsribing to PPV.
  14. The Tale of two rivers. Winter v.s Summer on the Meramec. Nice post.
  15. Really, when did the US close the bases in Germany and Japan?
  16. Yea, you can use it on the norfork or white during generation. Just be careful when they turn off the flow. The norfork bottom is more chunk rock and less gravel. The rocks tend to grab and tear aluminum unlike the smooth gravel bottoms of other rivers like the Current. I both my boat from Ernies in 1993, and it is still going strong. They are good people.
  17. Welcome, Glad all worked out and she's OK. I bet she got a giggle out of the incident.
  18. When I was at my truck gearing up to start fishing, he came by and ask me if I had seen a girl in a white hat. I though that he might be refering to a kid, but they he said he was looking for his wife. He was pretty upset at this time. I told him that if it was my wife, she would be in the car warming up, or in the bath room. She must be a trooper if she was fishing. It was fairly cool at that time.
  19. Yes, they were both nice fish. I had just arrived and saw him land the 26 inch fish, they were looking for a tape to measure the fish with, I had one and stepped in and measured him. Beautiful fish. Later, I met Chuck and his client after watching them land the 24 inch fish, and took their pictures holding the fish. What great luck to see both of those fish up close. My luck fishing wasn't as good, but I did manage to land a 20 inch fish.
  20. Get some sleep tonight Terry, you don't need to study for a urine or blood test.
  21. Come on Michael, get the lead out.. .......... Good luck in Fresno MTB.
  22. Hey, it worked.............. Welcome.
  23. Thanks for the story Griff. It is one of the funniest kids fishing stories that I have heard.
