  1. Congratulations to Eli and kuddos to Dad for taking him out! I'm sure his proud grin at having provided dinner for the family made up for any questions (before and after the shot) that he had. I can't wait for my sons to be old enough to take out!
  2. Mark, Sounds like a good trip - thanks for posting. I agree that the gravel straight across from the Stinking Pond bluff is hard to beat for a campsite. Ryan
  3. JD, Good leg-work on the research of this possible issue. I think that if the owner(s) comply with the MDC and USFS with regards to water quality on the Eleven Point then it should turn into a non-issue and good business venture for the area. However, you are right that we should keep an eye on it and make sure the river stays as clean as it is. ryan
  4. Cricket, We do take reservations - look forward to having you and the wife down soon. (I know you like the wifi so get the Rose or Ivy cottage when you reserve!) Ness, Thanks for the kind words. Come down and hook into some Eleven Point 'bows with us when you can. Justin, How do you know so much about the economics of outfitting and lodging on beautiful Missouri rivers? Haha! Bring Amy and the kids over sometime in the off-season and we can let the women have fun while we fish! Chris B., We would love to have you take advantage of our hospitality and fall in love with this river. ryan (Brian's quieter business partner)
  5. Cricket, There are no plans for a permanent poker table in any of the cottages but with advance notice I can have one available or direct you to the nearest friendly game! Also, we have free wifi at one of the cottages - that could fuel or quench a poker thirst! ryan
  6. Nice fish, Cat! It is so big it requires another letter in hug(a)e!
  7. Snagging (or grabbing) for nongame fish runs from 15 March - 15 May and also from 15 Sept. through the end of the January. Although gigging is not allowed in Blue Ribbon Trout areas, snagging is.
  8. Nice work, Spencer! A hex hatch can be some real fun if the fish key in on it. Stimulators and Madam Xs (like Gavin mentioned) can be good flies and hex nymphs (and even golden stones that look similar) can work as well. Good luck and keep us jealous, uhh I mean posted. Griff
  9. Thanks for the kind words regarding our outfitter! Glad you all had a good time and we hope to see you down again. I am also glad that I got you flagged down outside of Winona so that you didn't lose a cooler on the highway 19 roller coaster! Ryan
  10. Hang in there Cat! We will hit some smallies next weekend when I am down - even if we have to hike in! griff
  11. Tito, Boat looks like a beauty! I'll be down in a few weeks and we should get the three of us out for a trip. Griff
  12. Phil, It was a pleasure having you and Marsha in the boat Saturday I and am glad to hear that you guys enjoyed the trip. We hope to have you back next year - if not sooner. Ryan
  13. Max, I would skip Montauk and fish the Current at the Tan Vat or Baptist accesses. Either of these spots offer access to good amounts of water and you won't have the crowd that you would at the park - nor the start and finish horns. All (Montauk, baptist, or TV) are still a bit of a drive from Columbia but shorter than the 11 pt. and more wade-able water. griff
