I hope you enjoy your stay and catch a boat load! You are camping in a great area to fish - you can troll for walleye in the Wheatland area or hit the brush piles or standing timber for crappie. The crappie will be 8-20 feet deep in 10-30 feet of water. I only use jigs, mostly blue or chart, sometimes pink or white. Hopefully when it gets closer to time there will be some more detailed reports. Brad

Things changed drastically from Thursday to Friday/Saturday. The fish were still on the brush in 14-18 fow, however instead of catching 10-15 per pile it was like 2 or 3. We did find a few piles with active fish and caught several which really saved our trip! We ended Saturday with 30, most were very good fish, however they were all whites and did not weigh what we needed them to. Stacy, if your brother is done working you like a slave we need to get together and go! Brad

Fished the last two evenings. Crappie are coming from pre-spawn areas, keeping the boat in 10-15 feet of water and catching them in 6-8 feet deep. Good luck this weekend. Brad

I'm not much of a bass fisherman but went for walleye Monday night - caught several 2-3 lbs bass on a jerkbait, back of coves in the dam area. Don't know if it matters but I threw a Spro McStick in Old Glory, the guy with me through a Lucky Craft Pointer in American (Americana?) Shad. Good luck! Brad
