Congrats on the white bass! I'm not big on white bass but they can be a lot of fun. I was hoping you were going to tell me where to catch the crappie Saturday.
Brad
I know - it's a blast! This is not like a competitive tournament were everyone acts like jerks or refuses to help. This is similar to a club where everyone visits, has a great time, helps one another and become friends. Besides it's worth the entry fee to see the entertainment value that Jim brings!

Now that the water level is getting close to normal, what are the plans for flow? Will it be brought all the way to normal and just shut off or will they slow the release for last few feet?
Thanks,
Brad
I guess the answer is no. I haven't been, though I'm ready to go. After the lake comes down a few more feet and the weather straightens out I'm out there!
Brad
Thanks for the update - don't like decreased water flows!!!! I was hoping they would run at 3500 for the rest of the month, with no more rain it would still be high. Just hoping it gets somewhat reasonable so I can try to pull a few specks from the lake before the winter is over.
It's been slow on here, guess there hasn't been much to talk about with the water level and weather. Thanks for the update!
Brad
I'm afraid the specks will have to wait a while. However I did go Thursday, we had two limits in 3 1/2 hours, nice fish - a kicker 5 pound walleye!
Hope we don't see a new record for water level!
Brad
Here in the big town of Buffalo the rain is still coming!! Since Saturday morning my rain gauge has registered 11.02 inches and still climbing.
MOPanfisher - what is the record high for the lake?
Brad
Unfortunately we will cancel the Crappie tourney for Saturday. Some family friends lost a daughter in a tragic accident, we will be attending funeral services.

Brad
Yesterday we fished the Pomme arm, however I prefer to fish the Lindley. Both arms are great and hold good fish. Hope the rain doesn't hold up your trip, but we sure need it!
Brad
Went today - awesome trip!!!! Had 30 of the nicest crappie I've ever caught (ok, I only caught 15). Trees and brush, some shallow some deep, just got to poke around a little.
Good luck!
Brad
The bite is good and the size is great! Right now they are starting to transition from fall to winter pattern. You can catch them anywhere from shallow to deep trees, shallow to deep brush piles. The best places are the ends of bluffs, they will either be on the far end of the bluff where the water moves into a flat or in deep water right on the end of the bluff.
We used chart jigs, fished 5-15' deep.
Good luck and give us a report when you get back in.
Brad
We normally have 7 consistent boats that show up. Then it depends on the weather, how the fish bite, etc... If it is a cold front situation, none others show, if things are good we will have an additional 4-6 boats.
