  1. Anyone know any dances to stop all this rain!?!?!?
  2. Think any could be caught on worms on the missouri side in long creek area?
  3. Guess I was at the right place? First time at Bull Shoals, I just drove down to Beaver Creek campground and bank fished all around. Finally got to the place I wanted to fish after some people left out and first two casts caught two female whites full of eggs. Didnt have a bite rest of the night after that, oddest thing. Caught them on 3" white grubs. Second one I caught saw another one follow it all the way back to the bank. Fished from about 6-8:30 at Beaver then ran up to Swan, I think lol. Didnt fish long there just mainly checking the place out for later. I felt like such a tourist but catching those two made it worth while!
  4. I'm noticing that most of you guys are apparently fly fishing for white bass, I havent fly fished in a few years, used to do it all the time tho. Do grubs and jigs on a spinning combo work well too or is fly fishing just the way to go here?
  5. Well I was gonna go tomorrow night too just debating between swan and beaver. Swan is closer to me so was hoping they were biting there too.
  6. Anyone heard if any white bass being caught at swan creek? Thanks
  7. How much is a one day out of state license? Always lived there so never thought of knowing how much once I left lol. And dont you also have to buy a snagging permit now as well? Adds up in a hurry dont it???
  8. Doesnt snagging season open Saturday in Kansas? Was thinking of making a trip for either white bass or spoonbill but looks like it'll be spoonbill, think they've made up to Chetopa yet?
  9. Was thinking of going over to Beaver tomorrow evening and bank fish, but would it be worth while going you think? Also would be the first time on Bull Shoals for white bass always used white or chartruese curl tails back in Kansas for them, is that what works here or something total different? Thanks
  10. The wife was out walking the puppies yesterday behind our condo/apartment and there's a pond there and she comes back up and asked if I saw the huge fish that was laying dead. So I look out and sure enough a huge carp was laying dead up by the bank. She went back down to fish it out to weigh it. So shes out there trying to get it out with a foot in the water and could barely budge it! I decided to go down and pull it out myself and what a struggle. So i put it on my 50lb scale and it was too heavy for it. So I had my dad bring over his scale he weighs his deer on and weighed in at 55 pounds! Looked it up to see if it was a record and it was 14lb short, but wow what a fish to find! Took a picture of the fish but couldnt while it was being weighed as it was dark by the time he got here with the scale.
  11. Also is there a good map of Bull Shoals because the one on here takes me to page cannot be displayed. Thanks
  12. Scarecrow, I'm from very southeast Kansas (what about you) used to fish the Neosho river, ponds, and strip pits. I know what you mean tho the fishing here is like a culture shock! Never had fished clear water like this around here, heard it was different didnt really think it was the much different tho but wow is it ever! Just now getting table rock figured out to where it satisfies me, I about gave up after the first few years, but just gotta keep at it and listen to people. But no walleye either where I come from have caught two fishing for white bass on plastic grubs in the Neosho, so what works best for them? Minnows I'm guessing? Thanks guys.
  13. Would I have any luck at all this time of year?
  14. Havent fished Bull Shoals one time and was wondering who could help me. Do most of my fishing from the boat but have found some places on Table Rock that I do extremely extremely well from bank in the spring, as I love bank fishing, was wondering if there are any places like that on Bull Shoals and maybe even for walleye right now? Thanks
  15. Lived in the area for 8 years and havent fished Bull Shoals one time. Do most of my fishing from the boat but have found some places on Table Rock that I do really well from bank in the spring, as I love bank fishing, was wondering if there are any places like that on Bull Shoals and maybe even for walleye right now? 16. Hey guys. Grew up in Chetopa, now live in Branson, but havent been back one time to fish since I moved here, been 8 years now! Still have all my white bass equipment tho, not that any of its any good. But question is I know its usually around this time of year white bass get into the rivers and can catch a ton but was wondering if anyone could let me know how high the river is right now and if the flood gates are open? Any info would be great because I am planning to make a trip back when/if they come in this year. Thanks
