Is Bull Shoals considered a stained or clear water lake or both? I fish from Diamond City to Forsyth. If I drop a white jig down, it usually disappers about 1 to 2 ft down. I guess that is stained. Yet I catch most of my fish on a natural colored bait, instead of some bright color. Just wondering. Thanks
Wish this post had been here when I got my first fish finder. Would have saved me lots of frustration. LOL This is a very good idea and I hope it continues. I an still looking for a picture of a fish laying on the bottom. I don't know the differance between rock bottom and a fish. Keep up the good work.
Looks like the hot weather has shut down the fish bite or the fishermen. I don't see any raving reports lately. I know I am fishing only in the evenings and after dark. The captain can't stand the heat (wife).
cought a large fomale white at the whisles Monday. Only bite we gought. trolled the jhonson hole area with night crawlers and spinner rig. caught two small eyes and one little gill. my guestion is where are the bigger eyes and crappie?
I had a Lowe 175 stinger. I loved the setup. Two live wells, minnow buckets. I changed the trolling motor to a 24v, 71 lb. I trolled a lot for walleyes. This would run me all day with plenty of power. I liked the fact that it is wider than a Tracker too. Made it a lot more stable. The only thing I didn't like was the ride in rough water. Can't have everthing though. The next boat will have a Minnkota troller on it. The motorguide is noisy.

Do you pay any attention to the wind direction? east, fish bite least, etc. How about the moon phase, or the baromiter. Rising of falling? Or do you just go and hope for the best?
Took a little drive today. Went to the Cedar Creek area to do a little scouting. Hogan creek road is really shallow, will be a problem putting in and taking out. Next was Yokum Creek. This is the best place to put in. The road drops off just like a boat ramp. Elbow is like last time. You will have to turn around at the top of the hill and back all the way down. Beaver is pretty good shape on the creek side. Plenty of room to turn around and back in. You will have to go aways to park, as the parking is along the road. All the parking is along the road every where you go. When it cools off I will be heading out. Old fat men and hot weather don't mix. LOL
