Hey all, the return spring on my hotfoot broke yesterday, is there a place close to branson west that would have one? Or would a hardware store have one? Don't really want to substitute/scrimp on it, just trying to find one close and fast. Thanks for the help, Al.

Finally made it back to the rock! Fished the Dam area, 3/4 back in the coves; only place calm enough to fish. Had 4 hoookups, only to watch them come off at boatside . 3/8 eakins jig,grn pumpkin, yamamoto twin tail grub, 3 blacks, 1 smallie, all about 2-3 pounds. Water temp 84, all fish in 15-25 feet. Saw about 10 bass crusin' the bank in different areas, but they were havin' none of my offerins. Wish I had more to contribute, but I just coudn't seal the deal today. Had enough of the circus by 1 PM, headed in.

Looking For Someone To Fish With This Saturday
misterpbody replied to ChicagoBass's topic in Table Rock Lake
Might try Cricket Creek Marina, just across the border in AR, long creek area... -
Gotcha. I misunderstood originally when you said HB already had a downward view- I was thinking it was a seperate window, viewed like Lowrance, my bad

Don, how do I acess the "down scan" on a 798? Didn't know HB had this feature, can't seem to find it in the manual...

Easy there boys!!! I may not post very much, or even bother to log in regularly, but I read the info on this site DAILY. Kinda part of my routine(yeah, yeah, I know, get a life ). I have learned more on this site than all others combined(believe me, I read quite a few), and I am darn thankful for all the reports and other info as well!!! As soon as I started reading this topic, i saw feathers getting ruffled; all because of some IGNORANT people who have the nerve to complain about FREE fishing reports!!! These people want to catch fish, let them PAY to hire a guide, or tell them to shut the ---- up, read the reports, and LEARN TO FISH!!! Sorry for the rant, but there's no reason for anybody to be getting bent at anybody else on here, just because of a few(or more) MORONS who think they are so special that they have the right to PM anybody and whine about anything. By the way, be down soon, but Im not saying just when; last time I did, yall got so much rain it took 6 months to get close to normal!!

I am not a local expert by any means, but I get down there a couple times a year. There is a small store/bait shop about a quarter or halfway down Indian Point Road, on the right side called Deer run, or something to that effect. If memory serves me right, they have minnows, as well as worms,etc.. Haven't been down since last Sept., so things could've changed by now, hopefully not.

Trailer Tires ( I Need New Ones)

TFW: Mothballs, at least thats what I've read in the past. Of course, they smell so bad they may just keep you out too!! As far as ants, don't know what to tell ya, maybe try an anteater -
Moto.. 1/2 ounce is right. Although, I must admit I know next to nothing about spoons/blade baits. I decided to give 'em a try after reading several posts. The cool thing about the fish I caught when using it was the bass spit up 2 or 3 small baitfish IDENTICAL to the blade bait. PS...I was letting it hit bottom and then jerking it up 2-4 feet, got hit on the fall. Hope this helps...

Hi guys, just got back and wanted to say thank you to everyone on the forum for all the info and tips I have learned since my last attempted trip in April (cancelled- weather). Without you guys, it would not have been the sucess that it was!! Like Techo said in a previous post, I almost cried when Capt. Don reported the shallow football jig bite was dying, but I found 'em elsewhere. Stayed in the Indian point area all week - I am more familliar with this part of the lake. Spent first 3 days fishing coves, in the past 4 years the morning and evening topwater bite has always been good this time of year - several 5+ lb. fish and many more smaller ones, NOT THIS YEAR . Did catch some keeper spots and SM on a wiggle wart in ghost crawdad in 10' or less, paralelling chunk rock and boulders, Also had several huge gills and 1 5# flathead on the wart as well. Then, THE RAIN thought back to earlier posts, ran up Indian creek to the end (10' or less), and BANG!!! Caught spots all day along fallen logs in the rain, all in the 2 - 3.5 lb. range, nothing huge, but after traveling 600 miles to fish, I was happy. All fish came on a 3/8 jewel jig in grn pum/grn flash with a gulp! nuclear nelly trailer in breen (copper) color. Fished until my hands went numb . Came back on Thursday with camera in hand-ZERO FISH- , funny thing about me and a camera, I never catch anything!!! Gave up, went back to resort to spend some time with wife & kids, took kids swimming off the end of dock also did a little fishing from dock (without camera) caught several short spots!! BPS lazer eye blade in silver/blue- Thanks Capt. Don !!! Friday and Saturday were also very good - spent both days all the way up little north Indian creek - 2 to 4 feet deep!! All fish came in and around newly flooded trees on 5/16 jewel jig in MO craw color with a nuclear nelly trailer trimmed down to fit jig. I tried other jigs, but didn't have as much success as with the jewels. If it wasn't for Techo raving about them, I probably wouldn't have done as well - Thanks Techo!! Also.. all fish fri. & sat. were LARGEMOUTH!!!! Biggest one almost 4#, but they were all keepers . All in all, I had a great time fishing TR, hopefully next April will be better weather and I can actually make it down this time! Thank you all for your informative posts, good luck fishin', and God Bless!!

4 Fishys - Heavy C has the right idea; the rock can be a VERY humbling lake. I am from Chicago also, and caught zero bass the first 2 trips down there. I am no Van Dam or Iaconnelli by any means, but I am no rookie either. Look back thru the archives around the time you are going-hopefully you will find info in the area you are looking to fish.I spend most of my time on TR on the east end, Indian Point down to Big Cedar. Late August topwater early and late, usually in middle of coves, after dark shoreline out to 25 feet, jig on bottom, and drop shot wherever I can find 'em. Every time I've been there water has been gin-clear; if I could see them, they could see me; could not buy a bite. 4 hour guided trip-$265, 8 hour guided trip- $375, info on this website from the BEST guides on the lake-PRICELESS!!!!!! Seriously, hopefully some of the local masters will point you in the right direction. Good luck, and Good fishing!

Thanx to all of you for the warm welcome! Would have replied sooner, but i'm new to this postin' buisness, but I do believe I got 'er figured out finally. I'm from Steger, to answer your question, Bill, and good luck with your trip in April!!SgtChuck let me know how Greer's Ferry was - anything is better than frozen water!!! If everything settles down, I'll be down April 11 - 20. Hopefully we won't have to postpone due to more bad weather. My heart goes out to all those who suffered loss during the past few weeks; you're in my prayers. Well, gotta go...pizzas here....
