  1. Thanks!
  2. Does anyone have any current knowledge concerning how Stockton is fishing for bass or walleye? There was a strong Jerk bait bite on Pomme last weekend. The next day I couldn't really get it going on Bull Shoals. Figured I would try Stockton for a bass/Walleye combo with the Megabass. I have put in at Aldrich in the past for whites and know the general areas of the lake, but do not have any in depth knowledge of where to go. I was picking up fish in the trees on Pomme. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Not asking for specific spots, just a nudge in the right direction. I am coming from Springfield.
  3. I wish I could make it up this weekend. I like the rc baits also. The plus one runs a hair deeper which was the key. I agree the bass are bigger in the winter on the jerk bait. I wish I knew why.
  4. Water temp 44-45. Slightly stained. They were running a little bit of water.
  5. Ten count between jerks. Water was stained slightly. I used a megabass plus one in a off gold color. The plus one 110 dives a little deeper. I like the lake.

  7. Put in at river run. At the pot hole we managed 3 trout 2 bass and a barely legal walleye. Barker hole one bass. Down lake near point 39 two bass. Bass were small. Jerkbaits and spoons. Didn't see anyone else catching anything.
  8. I picked up my new triton on sat. After breaking the engine in for an hour and a small set back with a water pressure gage I finally got to fish. Put in at Nemo just down the road from the boat dealer. Only fished for an hour and a half. 5 bass, 4 keepers on a megabass. I lost a toad by the dam and also had a walleye come unbuttoned. Coves just Off of the main lake in the sun was the trick. All landed bass were on one tree. Water temp was 38-40. iPhone post so excuse the grammer.
  9. Anyone know what size tackle boxes fits in the rear hatches of the new tritons? I think they are a plano 3700, however I wanted to confirm before I purchased 12 new boxes.
  10. Thanks
  11. Anyone ever use navionics premium south?
  12. I would check out a falcon Bucoo Micro rods. They run about $130.
  13. Be careful. I hear some of the MDC accesses are closed down there.
  14. I floated on both Sat. and Sun and had a blast both days. The fish were nailing cranks. The fishing was best on the lower river, but the upper James produced some nice fish Sunday afternoon. The bite is strong. White works well in the dirty water. Lots of Smallmouth on the lower river. Not wanting to give out too many more details.
  15. Thanks!!!!
  16. Bump.
  17. I would look at buying a 2.5hp. They are $650 and weight about 28 lbs with an internal gas tank.
  18. That was me. Like my rig?
  19. Thanks. I put in at Hootentown and motored up to where the Finley meets the James. Fishing was Slow. I only got two smallies (both on cranks) but I think that was due to the fast water. The nice fish was the day was almost 17 inches so that made up for the slow fishing. It took almost two hours to get up stream and 30 mins. to get back down. My canoe only has a 2.5hp so it is slow going when the water is up.
  20. I am planning a trip this weekend above I44. Does anyone know of the current river conditions or what they are biting on?
  21. I'm wanting to float on Sat. from Hootentown down stream. Has anyone seen the river lately?
  22. Do they catch whites as far up as Wilsons Creek? How would you get there by car?
  23. The fish are stacked up at Blunks. Good fishing last night.
