  1. Update: got taken care of at reliable and fished all day today starting at about 1045. Thanks for the information, and hospitality Glen. Come by Lake View resort, and I've got a cold one with your name on it.
  2. Thanks, Glen. I just took their number down and added it to a small list of numbers that I plan on calling tomorrow morning. I also saved your number as well, in case we come to that. I greatly appreciate your help and will keep you updated. Send us some good vibes, we sure need em!!
  3. First and foremost, if this isn't allowed, please feel free to delete. I don't want to cross any boundaries. My father and I are down here on LOZ for our annual fishing trip. Got out today and thanks to help from you guys, got on a decent bite. We were excited for what the weekend has in store for us but then things turned south. We have a motorguide 82# thrust trolling motor. We were just out for some evening fishing and it started spazzing out...basically it runs on high speed at the constant setting no matter what speed or setting we have it on, and the only way to shut it off is to unplug it. After looking around on the internet and after taking apart the trolling motor, we think the SE module is the problem. It's a part that generally has to be shipped and then worked on, so we're kind of out of luck. Does anyone on here have any reccomend actions of places we could go in order to continue our weekend? Or does anyone have an extra motor we can borrow for the weekend? We're trustworthy people who take good care of our equipment, we're just from St. Louis and are kind of bumming at the thought of a lost fishig weekend.
  4. Sweet, sounds like the game plan then. Thanks for the heads up, hopefully I'll get on em. I heard the BFL is this weekend, and I'm sure everyone's going in with a similar game plan as the one mentioned above...hopefully these fish don't see too many of these baits!
  5. Going down to fish for some bass this week and weekend. I'm kind of going in without a game plan, anyone have any recommendations or insight? I'll be fishing near the dam, and have jigs and wiggle warts in mind, but I usually don't fish this far north, so im not sure what to look for or expect.
  6. Been fishing Missouri waterways my whole life, and will be making a trip to loz here in mid April (same weekend as the big bass tourney, but I won't be fishing it). See, I've made it to loz only once in april, and the wiggle wart bite was phenomenal. Will this bite be going strong still, or what do you guys think will be happening? When does the spawn usually occur? Thanks, Craig
  7. Ok. I ask because we fished 1 spot near cricket creek on main lake from wed-sat. Saw a ton of boats, on in particular not so courteous, but caught a lot of fish.
  8. Right on man, good to hear you guys made it with a check! I was fishing all of Long Creek and Cricket Creek wed-sat, what kind of boat were you in? Saturday didnt have much luck, caught about 8 shorts on a jerk bait and one short on a spinner bait. All came from one spot. Today we switched it up a bit and ran up to Indian Point. Although it was a slower day, I did manage 2 keepers, 1 spot and 1 black within 3 casts. Picked those guys up fishing a 3/8 oz. jig in about 16 food of water near stumps. Funny story actually, the cast in between the fish, I saw the spot swipe my jig as I reeled it quickly to the boat. Flipped back at the same stump and bam! He was 2.44, I think like an ounce out of the money for the 12-1 today. Lots of fun, but so cold.
  9. Oh, let me tell ya, there's more than enough wind. It's kind of funny actually, today there were times that the wind would be blowing for 2 hours, then...boom, Glass for an hour. Just switching up too much. Fishing is tough, I've talked to about 10 people and best I've heard is one of my buddies got a 4 and a 3 today. Other than that, apparently fish are few and far between. I caught 6 shorts and a crappie that went a little over 2 1/2 pounds. All the fish I've caught have been on one spot, but I just cant get the big bite. Going to switch it up tomorrow and make a decent run. Hopefully it pays off.
  10. 6.40 This should be fun!
  11. I'm wanting to trade my 2 brand new Curado 100d for 2 revo stx's or maybe 2 sx's. Please let me know. bassmaster1560@yahoo.com
  12. Well I fished the Missouri Jr. State championship this weekend. It was brutal. In my age group (15-18) one fish was weighed in (.8 lbs) and thats it. The younger age group had 2 fish weigh in ( 1 was about 2 1/2 and the other like 2). I would say the best fishing was on the dam....Just keep going up and down with a white crankbait (bandit 200-300) and hope that one will be there. That's how the winner in the older group got his fish. The younger age group cought theirs on white spinnerbaits in the flooded brush. Good luck, it's brutal out there. 2 bites all weekend. Water is about 18 foot high still, and the average temp. is about 49 degrees. Water is still dingy.
  13. Thanks man. I'll be down there this weekend. but the lake website says the water is 53.
  14. Sweet. Thanks a lot.
  15. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be there on the 12th.
  16. Hey all. I am going to Pomme in Apri to fish for some bass. What I'm wondering, is will the spawn be completely over? Or will the be in Post spawn mode? And what is your favorite jig color here?
