  1. Looks like I'm not going to get down until next week sometime. That might not be a bad thing though. Sounds like it is still pretty hit or miss. The longranger has it being sunny and in the 60s most of next week so maybe that will pick things up.
  2. So this is probably a year or two late, but what ever happened to Jenny @ The Station? I was looking through the old reports on here and saw that the last time she was active was April '08. I know she used to post some great reports.
  3. Sounds like a pretty good trip Josh. If you go down Thursday that would be great if you have a report. What part do you usually fish?
  4. Good luck EBake. I'll be happy catching about anything but I'm really hoping to catch some walleye and maybe some hybrids. I'm going to be bank fishing right below the dam.
  5. Well if the forecast stays the same, I am coming down Friday for the first time this year. It's been pretty quiet the last week on the forum so that must either mean the fishing is terrible and nobody wants to talk about it or the fishing is so good nobody is wasting time getting on their computer. Just wondering which way it is? Anybody pulling out fish?
  6. That water temp is still pretty low. I would have thought it would have gone up a degree or two with the sun and mild temps we've had the last couple days. A couple more degrees though and the walleye should be showing up.
  7. Glad to hear you had a good trip! Which side were you on and what were you using? I hopefully will make it down in the next week or so.
  8. Has anybody fished lately? I have next week off and it sounds like the weather is going to be decent so I'm considering taking one last trip down. Just wondering if anybody had a report in the last couple weeks.
  9. Actually, the location on my profile is where I moved from. I am now in Overland Park so Perry is about 30 or 45 minutes closer. I went over there last week with no luck. Your right, it is definitely a lot smaller than Truman but it seems like a decent place to fish.
  10. Anybody have experience fishing the spillway at Perry lake? I know the past two state record hybrids have been pulled out of there. I just moved and found out I am about an hour away so I thought I would give it a shot.
  11. Good to hear! I was down Saturday but it was pretty spotty without any water running. Sounds like I just missed it, I'll have to come back down.
  12. I was down yesterday. They were running ~15000, but the bite was really slow. I only caught a couple whites and a monster catfish on a sassy shad. The shad were jumping like crazy but I think your right that it will take a couple days for the hybrids to really get going.
  13. I was looking at the projected loading schedule for Truman and it looks like Monday they are going to start running water again. Hopefully this will be the case as I am planning a trip down on Monday. It would be nice to get into some hybrids. The last couple times I have been down, it has been pretty tough with no water running.
  14. Well I was planning on coming down in the morning, but I see that they almost completely shut the generators down this morning. If they stay off, I'm guessing it is going to be pretty slow tomorrow. Has anybody been out today and have a report?
  15. With the water temp above 60, I would think the hybrids would really be turning on. But who knows, this has been a weird spring. I was down Saturday and a guy next to me caught a 9# walleye that still had her eggs.
  16. I think those who say white and hybrid bass are fishy and no good to eat do not prepare them right. Make sure you get all of the dark meat trimmed out and it is a great fish to eat. Nice bass BTW.
  17. Glad to hear things are picking up. The water temp is really shooting up fast. I am coming down this weekend and hoping by then it will be up around the 55 mark. I would think the hybrids should start turning on really soon.
  18. I'm thinking about coming down for the day on Monday. It sounds like it is going to be pretty nice weather. Does anybody have a report on the fishing? Are the walleye spawning yet? It looks like the temp has gone up a few degrees. I am hoping maybe it will go up a few more over the weekend. Any info is appreciated.
  19. Just wondering if anybody had been fishing the tail race recently. I am trying to decide if it is worth a trip down this week.
  20. I think I am going to try my luck the week after next. It looks like temps are supposed to be a little warmer over the next week, so maybe the water will warm up a few degrees by then and something will be biting. I'm just ready to throw a lure though, even if I don't catch a lot. Thanks for the report!
  21. Hey guys, I am planning on coming down on February 15 to do some walleye fishing. Based on past years, how is the fishing in mid February? Also, what method/lures would you recommend (i.e.-trolling, jigging, etc.). This will be my first trip down to Stockton so I'm just trying to get as much info as possible. Thanks. Jared
  22. Does anybody have a report on the fall hybrids/whites or walleye? I think I am going to come down Wednesday and one day next week before it gets to cold. Just wondering if anybody is having any luck. Jared
  23. If fishing is hot below the dam, I would say yes it is definitely worth the 10 mile trip. But it all just depends on how the fishing is. I haven't been down in forever so I can't comment on that. Good luck either way!
  24. Just wondering if anybody has been fishing lately. I haven't been able to make it down for over a month. With this abnormally cool weather, I am wondering if it is affecting the fishing at all. Jared
  25. I was down on Wednesday and it was still the same story; lots of small crappie! As for the pool level, it is 659 ft above sea level for LOZ. The USGS sight does not go by sea level so I don't know exactly what the pool level is according to their scale but right now the lake is about 2 ft low so by looking at the USGS sight I'm going to guess pool level is around 29 ft. I wouldn't say there is a particular "normal output". It just depends on the time of year, rainfall, power demand, etc. Right now they're only letting out 350 CF from the floodgates, which is not much at all, and they have not been turning the generators on during the afternoons (probably hasn't been hot enough). I did talk to some guys that said the hybrids had been coming through in the evenings but they never showed up on wednesday. All in all, pretty tough fishing right now.
