  1. Their fault Bill, not yours. You showed them the easiest ways to catch fish on the rock and thats all you can do. Hopefully they have the humility to realize that and don't blame you. I help out with a kids fishing thing every summer and know the pain of breaking off tackle in trees, picking bird nests out of SPINNING reels, etc. Like Billy Bob Thornton said in Tombstone...."Its like playing cards with my brother's kids!"
  2. Bill gives the most/best info to all of us free of charge. The only way to beat it would be to hire him and spend the day in his boat. Calling someone num nuts for the kind of behavior they exhibited is more than called for and probably the best thing that can be said about soeone like that. If num nuts offends, you need to toughen up.
  3. Alot of really good points made here. I fished the am side Sunday and had two shorts all day. My pro had 1 keeper. It was tough and I really felt like I did all I could have done to catch fish (until I got to the weigh in). My pro gave me plenty of water to fish, we just weren't on them and I know I was fishing too fast. I told myself to slow down several times, but as the day wore on I caught myself turning that handle faster and faster. I was really happy for Rick. he did a great job. And who wouldn't be happy about seeing Charlie C. with a four fish 20 lb bag. That was awesome. Hey techo....is your wife gonna let you buy that boat?
  4. Late May into June I'm looking for post spawn fish moving out off of points. When I say points, I mean loooooong points going out into the main lake. If you're not used to it, you'll feel a little weird about being 2 or 3 HUNDRED yards off shore. Follow the point out to deeper water and when you start seeing activity on your graph, drop that chompers worm down to them. If your graph isn't good enough to see your bait, take a marker and make a mark on the line at the depth you want it at or when you get a bite. that way you'll get it back to the same depth. A heavy football jig or carolina rigged lizard or sweet beaver out deep on the point has worked for me too. It covers alot of water and all you have to do is drag it.
  5. Nice bag of fish Jackie. I talked to Jim H. today. He went but only had 3 keepers and 3 shorts.
  6. Does anyone have a clue why the Ronald McDonald House Tourney on May 3rd was cancelled? I heard Don Berry announce it today on his show. Its ran by the Missouri Lakes bass Club if anyone knows any of them or is actually a member.
  7. BFL called me this afternoon to tell me I had a confirmed spot in Saturday's tourney, so its still on. Should be some heavy bags come in based on the Heartland tourneys last weekend.
  8. Believe it or not, the Heartland tourneys are still going out of Ahoys this weekend. Alot of us fishing it think its a mistake and wish they would have canceled it for safety reasons.
