Great info... Being a cheap old fart--- I mark my lines (with a magic marker) --- red at 75 feet and black at 120 foot... My reels take-up/ let out appox. 2 feet per turn of the handle so, if I'm not getting bit and can adjust 5 or 10 turns and I still know how much line is out... Once I find the right "feet" to troll for the day... It easy to set the lines as needed...

Mine are a "throw-a-way" single sealed unit.. nothing gets inside, until you back into something and crack the case...

The best color to use on ANY lake at night is the one that has the best Silhouette against the night sky when you hold it above your head.... If all else fails --black, purple, black & purple.........

I have only replaced my trailer light once in the 18 years that I have had this boat/trailer (one each side)... But, it takes me a good 10-12 minutes to ready the boat, once I'm at the lake ( boat tiedowns, motor toter, DRAIN PLUG, squeeze the primer bulb, mount two graphs, turn on power to boat and trolling motor, plug in trolling motor, get rods , tackle and life jackets out of the lockers, unhook safety and winch straps, ..) I stop far enough back from the launch ramp that I'm not in the way of people launching....

Google " mp4 " and you should be able to download a small program that will play mp4 videos.. This is the one I used -- http://download.cnet.com/MP4-Player/3000-13632_4-10833015.html I was having problems with newer programs and found that Windows and the computer manufacture no longer supported my 13 year old system (%$@%^&)... I bought a new (refurbished) computer thru Wally World for $300 and spent 2 weeks tranferring my old data ... Stopped all my problems...

Mine is a '99 Ranger "Fisherman Series" ( AKA-walleye boat ) with a 175 Merc... The dog has passed on but, the wife is still my best fishing pardner... She don't, really, like to go fishing but, LOVES to go catching !!!!!

Can only be one of four things... 1. motor is not hot enough to open thermostat.. ( wrong thermostat).. 2. New impeller broke.. 3. Bad "new?" thermostat.. 4. Small "critter" has plugged up the pee hole/tube.. I worked in small motor repair shop 40+ years ago... But, we didn't have computer controlled motors then, So--take what I say at your own risk....
