was at conner friday night saw a guy pull one in that would go about 50 lbs. i am headed down there this morning with my cousins we will be in a boat so i hope we limit out in a hurry and then start fishing for something else will post back to let everyone know how we did

i live in missouri and bought my life time ok fishing license when i was 18 but you can buy a three days pass for 18.50 and the spoonbill permit is included in the price you can order license online just go to the oklahoma wild life web site and follow the links

i will be coming from joplin down 43 highway turn right on to u or 10 c what ever highway it is before you get to seneca i have only been to conner one time and i was not driving my uncle was wasn't really paying attention and he was not for sure how to get there either we kinda just ran into it i know there is alot of back roads and not for sure what the names are

thanks for your help i think i will be going down this sunday if i can get a boat i will probably troll around the bridges but if i don't i will probably drive to conners bridge if i can remember the way

i have been going down on opening day since i was two only missed one that was my freshman year of highschool when i had baseball tryouts and then didn't make the team that was a bad deal missing opening day and not making the baseball team I WAS MAD!!! -
i am all but packed and ready headed down early morn try to get a low number on the tag it is always a bet on who can get the lowest tag number for the people in my group so i plan on getting down there around 8:30 since the lodge opens at 9 then i will get all my stuff ready in the cabin and then go scope out the holes to see where i am going to start

opening day is not near as bad as kids fishing day in the spring and fall but we never miss that either we always love helping the kids show them how to fish and what to use seeing a kid catch their firsst trout brings joy to me i was blessed that i had a dad and other family that has taken me fishing and started me out when i was young i am a firm believer in give a man a fish feed him for a day so a man how to fish feed him for a life time

a little over two weeks till opener i am ready i have only missed one opener since i was two years old it is a family tradition we stay in the same cabin every year i love the crowds and meeting new people i have been fishing taney a little but i am ready to trade the waders in for the bib overalls

i have heard of guys doing this in grand lake in ok i dont know if there is any rules ang regulations in doing this but i have heard that they are easier to fish than the old christmas trees but i think it does take a year or to for the fish to start using them the alge has to start forming before the fish will come around that is what i have heard

when does the whitebass bite start on the white river i remember going with a friend and his cousin few years ago but i can't remember what time of year it was if i remember right i think we put in at housemans and went up river only fished a little stretch but they were there so we did not have to go anywhere else any input would help lots thanks

headed down friday early morn from joplin fishing in a tourney wonder how the water is and if it is going to up or down we plan on drifting and doing a little wading whats hot and whats not the weather looks like it is going to be good

i would not miss opening day for anything i missed one day it was my freshman year of high school i was trying out for the baseball team didn't make it boy was i mad but made it down there that weekend. it is a family tradition my whole family goes down there and have for about 30 years my first year i was 2 i will be in a cabin wed and thurs night but then camping the rest of the weekend i hope we have another yeasr like we did last yeasr the weather was great good luck and good fishing i can't wait

i agree in the 18 years that i have been going down to rr for opening dy i believe this is going to be the best one weather wise that is, i believe it was two maybe three not for sure but we all went to bed and woke up two abiut 6 inches of snow that was a good year to fish if you could bear the cold and the snow
