Put in at 5:30 with my dad and son. Fished down from CC along the main lake. Did not see many boats in the coves so went to the areas I know best, rock wall and down a bit further. I caught 15 small ones, mostly on a bluegrass bobby garland with a chartreuse roadrunner. Dad caught three keepers and a fourth on the same. Fished in 20 fow and all the hits came around five fwet deep. Both females had eggs and the big make still had his sac... My son caught a few small ones and a nice largemouth and a a couple really nice whites. Fun evening all together. Best activity was right at dark. Good luck.

Hey aggressor, I've been thinking of going out at night too. Tactics any different? I've done a ton of bass fishing at night but never crappie... Pm me if u like.

Well, kind of a tough day. Dad and I ended up with six keepers. Mostly males. The one female was full of eggs. Had the best luck with minnows after that a chartreuse and black bobby garland with a chartreuse road runners did well too. Caught several small males. Caught most of them off the wind blown points... Coves were really slow and pretty much non productive. But in a noob so take that for what's it worth... Wind was a bitch but I was glad to get out with old man. Hopefully I'll get out next week with my son... Good luck...

That's awesome!!! I'm hoping to take my son next early next. I'm not a crappie king, just like fishing. I'm hoping we can still get into a few crappie. I'll be putting at cc too. Love all the people leaving comments to hel a guy out. I'll post with my luck when I do.

Thanks for the report... A budy and I are planning on going this coming Friday. We usually get together only once a year and meet up at the Greenfield Access. Never done especially well but enjoy our day on the water none the less. I'm not asking for any of your secret spots but if you've got a better put in location in mind I'de be happy to hear it. Looking to find some Crappie by the way...
