  1. Thanks Kevin! Right now I am still planning on spending the weekend down there. I'll put a post up on Monday and let you know if we get skunked!
  2. Thanks for your report Kevin. I appreciate it. Did you notice if the campground was open at Beaver and if there were still spots far from the water to camp in? It is hard for me to picture how high the water really is down there right now. I was planning on a camping/fishing trip down there this weekend and live 200 miles away. Just try to figure out what I might be getting myself into before I actually leave. Thanks
  3. Great Question, one I am also looking for an answer on. I was also going to try and camp at the Beaver Creek Campground, any idea if they have any spots out of the water and if they are even open? The last weather report I caught are forecasting more rain for Thursday, but Friday and Saturday were supposed to be Nice.
  4. LMAO.... Yes, your photos are real "deceiving" (I'll use the correct spelling, you know the rule we learned in 2nd grade, "i" before "e" except after "C") since you never post any photos Trav! Pictures? let's see your pictures, you should have several since you catch fish like that on a weekly basis, right Trav? Oh, wait, let me guess, you don't have a camera? I'm sure the only fish you have EVER seen like the one Leonard caught is hanging on the wall at Bass Pro Shops. Nice Fish Leonard, it's nice when people post pictures of what they "actually" caught versus blowing smoke about it constantly.
  5. Yes, and in the Aquarium at Bass Pro Shops.
  6. Yes, it's a good thing trav fishes Taneycomo, and the Taxidermist fishes bull shoals; because if they ever fished the same waters it would decimate the population.
  7. That's "Condescending"
  8. 10-4 I hear ya!
  9. Do you have anymore kitty cat pictures in your photo album you can share with us?
  10. We know Wayne, there seems to be a lot you wish you knew. It is apparant (at least on OAF) that you don't know near as much as you would like to think.
  11. Hey Beeson, that might actually make a pretty good short story. You might give some thought to adding that one to your portfolio.
  12. Yeah right Beeson, back on Post #18 you said you were done debating. I think it is funny that 5 posts later you are still trying to get the last word in. You can have the last word if it means that much to you as I won't have time to debate any further with you as I will be reading short stories by Terry Beeson this afternoon. Calico Wayne, I thought maybe that was the name of your cute little cat that you are trying to shoot with a .45?
  13. Once again Wayne, avoiding those areas is not the point that anyone has made on here? I think the inital point was these dams are easy targets for someone who wants to cause major destruction and devisatation. It is a pretty cheap investment to have a little security at these locations versus the devastation and loss of life (which I can't even begin to place a value on life) that would occur. I'm not suggesting take away any one's right to "fish at the pothole," rather look for those people that pose threats. My point to you is that, "IF" I'll reiterate for you again "IF" powersite failed, yes you would have a signifigant damage. Whether it be do to a structual defect(built in 1913) or an act of intent by man, there would be signifigant damage. No, I'm not going to stop fishing at the pothole either.
  14. That's exactly right Thom. You said it. It's even more devistating in person, all from only a 50 acre lake! The article states this 50 acre lake was drained in 12 minutes. As Calico Wayne pointed out, Taneycomo is 2080 acres. Think about the devistation there. Shadow Rock and River Run, which are both around a mile below powersite dam would be severely damaged. Keeping in mind, while Taum Sauk was only a 50 acre lake, people 15 miles down stream were forced to seek higher ground due to the flooding. Imagine how far down BS people would be affected, I would say it would be a little further down the lake then the rock hole......
