  1. Heres the skinny. Most of the Nationwide and Craftsman drivers are not that good. Therefore the Cup drivers know that and come down to truck and nationwide to take their win money and time they want because it is just so easy. Until the drivers in those series setup they will continue to have their rear ends kicked. Face it there are not that many elite drivers period. Oh yea. I will further full the fire. I am a die hard Kyle Busch fan . Glad to see that Dale Jr. finally won a race. I like the guy. But is he really an elite driver?
  2. Enlighten me on the top water tactics of lower Taneycomo. Early in the day? Late in the evening? Hula popers? Spill the secrets. Because I may just come down and fish it this saturday and sunday.
  3. Trav Your not getting out of Patfish's suggestions that easily. Seems with the lack of service docks on Taney now he might be onto something. Besides I bet you could see that dancing pole, neon and spot lights for miles around. Not a bad little side business.
  4. Maybe those redlight cameras could double up and catch those who have a snake find it's way under their tires. Pretty soon we won't leave our houses because we can't afford fuel or fear we are are in violation of some kind of law with a stiff penalty.
  5. Thanks for the smallmouth crankbait post on your blog. I haven't really pursued river fishing for a while why I attend numerous kid related stuff on the weekends. Where would I put in my bass tracker and fish a good amount of the James down by the lake? Just look for all kinds of structure along banks? Will a spinnerbait work well there as well? Many thanks in advance for your reply.
  6. I concur on stay the heck away from me. That is exactly why I went from 15' Richline to 17' Tracker flat bottom aluminum bass boat. I almost lost my fishing buddy out of the boat in February and I started to wonder exactly how long you could swim even with a life jacket in that cold water before the good lord came a calling. My guess is not to the shoreline in most cases if there is any kind of current. No consideration for others at all. Just how fast can I get to my fishing spot. Probably spend days getting ready to go fishing, but don't have an extra 15 mins to get where they are going once on the water. These people are a complete failure when it comes to life's lesson about respecting others. I hope they find there way into a busted prop one of these days. Kinda in a bad mood this morning for some reason. Probably just work. Hardy Har Har.
  7. Why Greg Maddux?
  8. The white itself. Around Buffalo.
  9. Why do you suppose there are not greater numbers of Smallmouth? Perfect water for them from Fall Creek on down.
  10. Is anyone aware of any maps that show Fall Creek to Roark or Bull Creek? Everything I have seen is Fall Creek to Dam. Trav provided a very nice lower taney map, but I haven't seen anything available in "Middle Taneycomo."
  11. I saw you were lurking around the forum looking for Nike shoes or designer jeans. We caught a bunch on the White river fishing the muddy/sandy banks on channel side. Just didn't know if you could catch them on lower or not. Oh by the way do you ever fish brownies with large rogues?
  12. Had a wonderful day fishing the White River from Norfolk, AR up to the Buffalo River and White River merger. Fished for brown trout on spinning gear and caught about 8 nice browns then further up we went started fishing for Smallmouth and did quite well about a dozen on level reels. Thanks to our guide Jim Brentlinger at lingersguideservice.com.
  13. What are the smallmouth numbers like in Taneycomo? Does anyone fish specifically for them? What lures seem to work the best and any particular areas to concentrate on?
  14. You the man. I will hit you up for some pricing when I sell the warden's jeep cheraguzzler, oh I mean cherokee and start looking for 30-40 mpg honda or toyota .
  15. Which guide did you go with?
  16. Only if it is in the U.S Minnow if it still floats?
  17. And what are your favorite top waters? At $5 bucks a piece I don't like to lose any of mine
  18. Thanks to everyone for a few minutes of time to reply.
  19. Has anyone gone on a Taneycomo or Table Rock fishing trip with a guide named Bill Beck? Heard he is one of the best guides in the area from a very prominent big outdoor store in Springfield connection? Wanting to book a series of fishing trips the rest of the year with him and wanted to get some feedback before I do? Any help is appreciated!!
  20. Trav, Have you found a boat yet or what? Going brownie fishing and smallmouth on friday on white river with the wife. Not too bad a honey do? Ha (only half HaHa )

  22. I passed over smaller trucks (6 cylinder) for my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 4X4 b/c my truck is big, safe and gets 20 mpg highway. Not so good in city. But it is safe and the 6 cylinder trucks get a whopping 22 mpg and are small as passenger cars. No thanks until they really boost power and mpgs. I have owned 1 tahoe and 2 yukons (1 w/90,000 miles) and never did anything more than change oil. GM Rocks. I don't think you will hear similar storys from the ford or dodge crowd. I would also give Toyota a while to work out kinks. That last T100 truck had some problems.
  23. Wish I was lawyer. I sure as hell wouldn't care about gas price now would I? I figure if it keeps going up the lake might return to a more pristine place. Yes a Springfield and St. Louis Cardinals fan
  24. I've heard good things about Binks as well. Also look forward to a report when one is avail.
  25. Help out us beginners with PMJ jig? Type, color and fishing technique? Many thanks Oh yea. I have been meaning to ask how these walleye don't break through small pound test line with thier sharp mouths?
