  6. OOPS..... I sit corrected... Slab to Resort...... hey I'm a chick and topographically challenged... *giggles* Uh.. which way is North on the map?????
  7. We used Dillard's, they were very kind and very professional. I would utilize their services again in a heartbeat!
  8. We spent 2 days floating CC for our Honeymoon in 4/2006. We stayed at a small motel (Eagle's Nest Lodge) that was pristinely clean. Bed for "honey-mooning" was very comfy... *giggles* We went to the local market on our way out of town to the out-fitter and were delighted with the quality of the sandwiches from the deli there. Huge meat portions crisp lettuce and fresh baked bread from their bakery. All this for a nominal pittance (here in St Louis the same sandwich would have 1/4 the amount at 3 times the price). Our outfitter fixed us up so nicely! Mrs D. had wild pig on the kitchen stove and biscuits fresh from the oven ... she gave us some for a late breakfast! I think recognizing the seasonings gave me a shoe in to her hospitality. Mrs. D and I talked Mike's spices and seasonings for about 30 min (while the gents took care of business). We were also invited to return for "Coon on the Grill" if we were back by dinner time ! I kid you not! Sadly, we were still fishing by dinner time or I would have tried it! We had some of the best fishing I'd ever experienced. We plan to return there sometime this summer.
  9. We Haven't been yet this year.... *cries*... but we use Huzzah Valley and have them put us in at Scotia. We then float/walk back to Huzzah Valley Resort. It's a long day the way we fish..often we get back to camp after dark... we walk the creek too much and canoe too little.... We have caught and released some ovely Smallies and Rock Bass... we have hit on the occasional Large Mouth also. If you go on a busy day with a ton of floaters moving by you, you will catch the heck out of Smallies! The floaters seem to liven the fish up and they hit best on crawfish. Good Luck!
  10. Girl Power! Glad to see another Chick Type fishes!!!
  11. My husband and I are avid Smallmouth Bass anglers. I was very suprised to find a forum with all the needed stream levels and information linked in one place! Stream fishing is our preference and our "prizes" are pictured and tossed back for the next angler to hook and hopefully release. We are avid "leave no trace" believers and return our catches to promote continuation of the Smallies in our Missouri streams. I look forward to the sharing of information and the resulting record sized Smallies we will catch and release! ReikiNurse.
