We spent 2 days floating CC for our Honeymoon in 4/2006.
We stayed at a small motel (Eagle's Nest Lodge) that was pristinely clean. Bed for "honey-mooning" was very comfy... *giggles*
We went to the local market on our way out of town to the out-fitter and were delighted with the quality of the sandwiches from the deli there. Huge meat portions crisp lettuce and fresh baked bread from their bakery. All this for a nominal pittance (here in St Louis the same sandwich would have 1/4 the amount at 3 times the price).
Our outfitter fixed us up so nicely! Mrs D. had wild pig on the kitchen stove and biscuits fresh from the oven ... she gave us some for a late breakfast! I think recognizing the seasonings gave me a shoe in to her hospitality. Mrs. D and I talked Mike's spices and seasonings for about 30 min (while the gents took care of business). We were also invited to return for "Coon on the Grill" if we were back by dinner time ! I kid you not! Sadly, we were still fishing by dinner time or I would have tried it!
We had some of the best fishing I'd ever experienced.
We plan to return there sometime this summer.
