I have caught a shark from the beach. Was actually fishing for Redfish but a 45# Black Tip shark took the bait. My buddy I was with went out to "retrieve" the Redfish and when he got close enough to see what it actually was he did his partial impersonation of Jesus by RUNNING ON TOP OF THE WATER. It was hilarious. I ended dragging the shark to shore. BTW, that was some of the finest tasting fish I have ever had. Firm and sweet.

I'm amazed that its still on your property. That thing must be anchored down and built very well.

Trophy, I hope everything works out for you and everyone else along the streams. I can imagine that Crooked Creek has gone through some considerable change. I will be down later this summer to check everything out. I am glad that we decided to hold off on construction on the property. This will give us a good benchmark as to where we can safely build our house. We'll have to "hook" up when I get there. Best to you. Stay safe and tell the wife "Hello" from JoAnne and myself.

Sounds crazy....However, I know how you like to fish and a little cold snap aint gonna keep you off the waters. Hope to see you this Spring. I'm getting a little cabin fever myself. P.S. I will need a couple more of those killer jigs when I get there.

Let's Talk Smallmouth Lures...

Great topic. I love the "smash" on a topwater and my favorite is the Rebel Pop-R. However, for numbers and usually size, I prefer the Jig-N-Craw made by a buddy of mine from Harrison. Next to dynamite its the most productive smallmouth lure I have ever used Just kidding. All caught smallies go right back where they belong...in the creek. -

I do have family in the area and the land I bought is on Crooked Creek close to Pyatt. I love stream fishing and have found a few "Honey Holes" already. I also like lake fishing for crappie and LM bass but nothing beats wading a beautiful Ozark creek and "Hooking Up" with a few friends.

Welcome. I too bought some property in the Ozarks so when I get there once or twice a year I have a great place to fish. Oh...the scenery is not too shabby either.
