  1. :sigh: Always nice to know where you fit in.. lol Gnight, boys.. I'm goin' fishin'.
  2. Nope, two strikes: 1. She obviously has no musical taste.. (even that I could forgive if it wasn't for..) 2. She's quite a distraction, isn't she? I just wanna feeeeesh, fellas... But if you can talk her into covering up a bit we could prolly fit her into Smallie's boat.. Hopefully I remind you of Slim... :fingers_crossed:
  3. Would you mind holding off until I own my own piece of paradise?
  4. Nice catch, Mister! That ones a keeper!
  5. Oh, yeah! Forgot to mention Phish and Friends.. How could I have forgotten?
  6. I know what ya mean, bud...
  7. Well played, Master Spencer..
  8. Nah, that's bull.. The fish don't respond well to snoop.. Something about the baseline, or maybe it's the stench of the stanky dank that's off-putting...
  9. Thank you, this is what I was feebly attempting to say...
  10. No worries, Greg.. It's sometimes a difficult art form to defend.. Usually the wife will look over (after some particularly raunchy and/or crappy lyrics) and say "And you like this stuff?" to which my response is honestly "No, not that stuff..." I'm sure you won't know or care about the particulars, but my specific rap of choice is stuff from the "Gfunk Era" of rap.. "Where the rhythm is the bass and the bass is the treble" ... It's a melodic variation of rap and it's much more appreciable that some of the crap that passes for rap in some circles... Lord, I'm starting to worry about you boys... I already decided, if I get to go fishing with any of you, I'm carrying my taser and a sharp knife.. lol You let me know, I can't say my schedules open, but I got a feeling I would truly enjoy a fishing trip with you, Mitch...
  11. Yeah, I laughed pretty hard... Then I remembered about how John Holmes beat those guys to death on wonderland drive... :shudder: Thanks wheat....
  12. Well I'll make a playlist that includes all my heaviest stuff and none of my rap, country, or Dave Matthews Band and we can go fishing sometime. (apparently sometime after being wrong side up and sideways at smalliebigs cabin.. lol)
  13. Bwah ha ha!! Yeah, I heard he had a preference for banjos and goats (on a stiiiiiick)! lol
  14. I'm liking you more and more, buddy..
  15. Oh, puh-leeeze.. I've seen your definition of taste.. Friggin' blaring country from 1000 watts of Rockford Fosgate whatevers, whole darn back seat converted to a big darn speaker box... JDC, bust him up for me.. (Watch it Eric, the ginger's are violent and unpredictable.. And he goes by his first AND middle name.. RED FLAG!!!)
  16. Here's some fishing music for ya:
  17. lol, I figured you and I would have a similar mix on the Ol iPod.. One exception is that I do enjoy listening to some country..
  18. I'm beginning to build an acute appreciation for Troufiend myself, though I must admit that, until recently, I was under the impression it was "troutfriend".. Not sure why that's relevant.. lol Hmmm, you think the latter has anything to do with the former? lol Seriously though... Really? Cher as in "Mask Cher" or "Sonny and Cher"?
  19. No appreciation for musical genius...? Sad, really..
  20. Think all of us were, Terry.. I only went to Crane once, but I don't remember any signage past the train tracks.. I wouldn't expect a sign on land that is clearly private property (IE your example of the front yard), but I do think that the local community that I attempt to assist and support when I'm there would have the wherewithal to post that, considering they have the wherewithal to have the whole creek there, all wadeable and all... Just my 465 cents.. (I can't stop at just two)
  21. Good points, I hadn't thought about the difference in rod length.. I'd prolly overcome that in the deep sections by using a slip bobber outta the crappie box.. I will say FWIW that I am beginning to prefer the hook set with a fly rod.. I think one or two good smallies on the fly rod this winter will have me swayed.. We shall see.. Good info, again thanks!
  22. Right on, man... I'm with you. Specifically I start the playlist with Orchid leading into Lord of this World, then NIB, Sleeping Village, Children of the Grave, then After Forever.. Usually I skip on to Megadeth or Metallica, Joe Satriani and other "WAKE UP" music.. Once I'm good and awake I like to switch to rap, starting with some Cyprus Hill, Warren G, Dre and some o dem brothas from the LBC.. Throw in some of that new white rapper guy that's not vanilla ice.. Slide straight outta that into Sublime, Cat Stevens, Pearl Jams "Yellow Leadbetter", BTO, BOC, Uriah Heap, Ten Years After etc.. This kinda stuff: I tend to be a bit eclectic.. (or eccentric, depends on who you ask) no one so far has listed anything I dislike... When I was younger a buddy of mine would drive to the lake to go crappie fishing, jammin out to the old single "Natural One" by Folk Implosion.. Hearing that song always makes me check for "crappie thumb"...
  23. Guess that what confuses me.. Seems like a light rod and an open bail would be easier that mastering the "chuck and duck"... I'll attempt it when I come down there for winter smallies...
  24. lol, that's actually a common occurrence with me.. lol
  25. Heck, I did that years ago when trying to save a crack baby from a burning meth lab... Besides, I see no evidence that body hair can transmit Diddymo...
