  1. Bass fishing still pretty slow at Pomme? A friend and I are thinking of coming that way tomorrow morn.. But neither of ushave EVER been. I see lots of crappie reports, but not much Bass info.. What's the scoop? Big bass in Pomme? If so, do they like frogs and buzzbaits? Or should we stick to what we know at LOZ? (He's wanting to fish an upcoming tournament there, I guess?)
  2. Thanks for the report, I have been trying to plan a night trip to LOZ with a friend (our first one), and we were a little miffed, since we are used to fishing top water or near top water on points and in coves, between docks, etc.. Seems like it would be difficult at night.. Glad to see the report, any guesses on where the bass will be over the next few weeks?
  3. Hand the filet knife to fishinwrench! At least, that's how I get 'em cleaned...
  4. Yes my curiosity, due to his pre-outing enthusiasm, is simply killing me!
  5. Thank you, it's been fun.. I drive a Geo, so it's okay.. Those AMC's are cool!
  6. That would have to be a prehistoric snapper! What is that, wrench, ten inches?
  7. Still haven't done the night trip yet.. Soon though, the wife and I are moving across town, so packing has been priority #1 (though I am still slipping in a few trout trips).. Appreciate the advice though... I've learned allot so far..
  8. I suppose he looks like dale Earnhardt.. All you white guys look alike to me.. LOL his wife (my sis) thinks he looks like Elvis. Takes all kinds I suppose.. Next time you are my way, gimme a holler.. We can go enjoy some fishin' together... Peace
  9. Exactly! I keep trying to explain this to my coworkers..
  10. Okay, that's just freaky!?! What is that? (Open Wednesday? Maybe I'll haul the boat up to Manito, pick you up on the way? Or a better idea?)
  11. Uh, you obviously don't know my wife. It will have to be a "big fancy" boat.. LOL Seriously though, should I bring my john Boat up and we can hit manito? Or something? All we'd need is my trolling motor for that, eh? Or do a gasconade float down here? Can we even put a 16ft river john on the lake of the ozarks? I wouldn't think so.. Ah, thanks.. I'm a lefty. But I'm dyslexic, so I'll have to put a rock in my shoe or something..
  12. Thank you VERRY much! That's awesome! Though I'll have to get used to FC instead of CC... Thanks again!
  13. Yep, still up and muddy, but looking better.. No rain between now and monday and you should be alright for a float.. Just depends upon how pretty you need it to be..
  14. I use em for my niece and nephew on the river.. Costs less that powerbait and I can tie a fly on the back too.. Yeah, I toss it behind the boat and the big weight keeps it close to the bottom.. We don't catch monsters, but we catch them.. The point was that it would be legal (it's not plastic it's a fly) but it would be rude to use in that area because it takes up allot of room.. But I was just mainly being a smart alleck.. LOL
  15. I'm thinking FishinCricket.. Is that possible? Pretty please Mr Lilley?
  16. Good comeback... (You hurt my little trackers feeling though... LOL) Maybe you could see it in you to come out with me once or twice after I buy a big fancy bass boat.. Show me how to "swing a 7 lb bass over the gunnels".. BTW, which ones the gunnel? LOL
  17. All I'm sayin' is a motor mechanic who don't own a boat is a little strange..
  18. So I am formulating a plan.. Stay with me.. What if I went into zone one and tied on a glowball (the little furry orange flies) and hooked it up powerbait style.. It would be legal, yes? It would still piss off every fisherman in the fly area, eh? Just a silly thought, I too am tired of having to defend my kastmaster lure (re-rigged with a fly for the "permanently attached hook" on the back) or even worse having to explain to some grouchy know-it-all that I am within my rights with my ultralight and my maribou jig..
  19. Only that particular section from Evergreen to Orla.. As for the rest of the Osage Fork, I stand behind my first post about the Davis to Hull ford section (which is downstream from "Plaster-land").. Good luck in your decision..
  20. Thanks for the tips wrench.. When are you gonna get a big ol bass boat and turn me into a tournament bass fisherman?
  21. Podum is on the money.. When are you planning on going?
  22. It's an interesting question.. I think I'll rig one up and take it to the park store and did out what's up.. Paula will know, she knows amecerythong about that place! I'll report back?
  23. Agreed.. I will also always have a fly rod in the boat from now on, but I need lots of practice..
  24. Might I again suggest the hazelgreen area of the gasconade? Or possibly the leadmine section of the niangua?
