Yeah, flipping over is usually pretty chilly. What were you hooking up with?

Sounds like a fair deal. I'm already wanting this next week to be over with! Haven't been fishing since before our baby was born, so Ive had the itch for awhile. Plus, it's always exciting to fish a new river!

Looks like rain this next week. Hopefully it doesn't effect the river too much. Staying in a tent might get a little wet.

Happens all over the Midwest. Mainly Russians in OK that do the same thing. My father in law is a game warden and I've heard some interesting stories about their busts and what they've confiscated.

Went to the showing here in Fayetteville for the 3rd year in a row ( first year was actually in Ft. Smith). I'm more into the freshwater species than salt, but the footage they capture is phenomenal! Hopefully there was a good turn out!

Has the river been clear, or more off colored due to the rain and other crazy weather changes?

So, I'm wanting to do a float/overnight trip on Easter weekend with my dad. Any suggestions on where to put in or stay while there?

I've had luck at Marvel when the carp are spawning. Anything that swung in front of them they sucked in! I was after trout, but the carp became more fun.

Big game this next weekend...Liverpol v. Tottenham! Both Suarez and Bale are up for player of the year so I'm sure this head to head game will be a big deal!

I've seen Bale take a dive or two, but what world class player hasn't in recent times? AVB has made his way around to several clubs in a short period of time, but he has the Spurs sitting in 3rd so he's doing something right. I liked Benitez, but I also really like the way Rodgers has started running things. Suarez has been LFCs saving grace and they continue to out possess every team they play against, they just can't seem to get results. Very aggravating.

My favorite player of all time was a spur for a little bit, Edgar Davids. Went to Baltimore this summer and watched them play Liverpool! Bale is a great player...but hes a diver! I was sooooo aggravated that Dempsey went to the Spurs!

As a Reds fan, I have to disapprove of anything stated by a Man U supporter ! The US has to win out the rest of their games to guarantee a shot at the WC. Donovan still hasn't " decided" if he's going to play for the MNT anymore, but I think he just likes the attemtion. Hopefully, they can be successful without him. Guess we'll see!

No joke! They played terrible. I don't have Fox Soccer Plus, but I have the regular channel. Plus I get enough of the Premiere League to keep up with Liverpool, so it's worth it!

I also fished on the 27th. Got nothing on the midges that had worked the week before, so I switched to the hair and copper and started picking up fish consistently. I was about half a mile down from watts fishing in a deeper pool. The water was still dropping in that area when I first arrived. There was a hatch around 2:30-3:00 that got a lot of the fish active, but I didn't have anything with me that looked like what they were eating. It was pretty small too, probably around a 24-26. I tried several other flies but, they didn't seem interested. Weather wasn't too bad either, so that was also a plus!

That's awesome DaddyO! My wife also picked out all of her own stuff. The times I've taken her fishing have come with mixed results. She doesn't much care for the cold water! She also made up this rule, which has been enforced a time or two, that if I catch 10 fish before she gets one then we have to go home! It's not like I'd set her up for failure, I want her to enjoy fly fishing and I want her to be successful! I've gone as far as tying on the fly and casting the fly into the same exact spot I had caught fish out of! One of my fondest memories was watching her actually catch a fish all on her own. She was like a kid on Christmas! "I caught a fish, I caught a fish" I believe were her exact words. I acted as the net man on the bruiser of a rainbow that came in at about 10 inches long! Once it warms up and the baby comes out, I'm hoping we'll get to take more trips!

My wife has a pink rod too. However, if its not at least 70 degrees outside, she's not going! I fished today too. Went below watts. Did well on midges this go around. I was with a group of guys and we were all pretty successful on small midges or nymphs in red, cream, light purple, and brown. Sizes 16-20.

You use to be able to access that area by T&M Sand and Gravel, but now you've got to walk a ways. Great fishing spot though!
