1st Annual Missouri High School Bass Fishing Fundraiser: In an effort to help fund the expenses incurred in Fishing Bass Tournaments for the High School Students in Missouri and Support Public Awareness for High School Fishing as a Curriculum in Missouri, Acts Media Group in Conjunction with Bass Slammer Tackle are hosting their first Annual High School Bass Fishing Fundraiser. GUEST SPEAKER-Professional Bass Fisherman and Guide on Table Rock: Our very on Pete Wenner We currently have 39 High Schools in Missouri (see High School list below) who will have teams enlisted to fish the tournaments this year for their students. We need a total of 50 High Schools involved and stay involved for two consecutive years and the State of Missouri will induct High School Fishing as an Official Curriculum. With a collaborative effort from every community through out Missouri, this will be possible. Growing up as a child in grade school and all through out high school, I participated in Football, Basketball and Baseball and Track....Not all children were able to participate in full contact sports and most were not as agile in other sports, thus leading to incredibly higher drop out rates and lower grade point averages....Last year, schools who participated in High School Bass Fishing Tournaments had a significant increase in grade point average and their drop out rate decreased due to a sport that was not only fun buy that anyone can do..... ANY CHILD CAN PICK UP A ROD AND CATCH A FISH. How awesome would it be if your son or daughter were to win a scholarship to college just for catching a fish. I highly encourage each and every person on this site to show your support for this wonderful event next Saturday August 15, 21015. Very Nice Seth. I just stayed on the main Honey Hole for a couple of hours..Started to head down to shelvin rock but some of the currents and rapids that way looked and felt a little strong for my 15HP Motor. I guess there were no trees in the way on down there..I hope I am correct....Glad to see you all caught your limit. My poor friend tried opening week and the last Friday and still had no luck. Oh yea..I forgot to tell you. When you look at our honey hole on google earth. It has a name I did not know about (Blue Hole)..Check it out next time you use google earth. Looking forward to next year.

Go on down there. The water is clearing up rather nice and I cleaned the boat ramp up pretty good. No one should have to worry about getting stuck now... Oh yea...a couple of friends of mine an myself are planning on a float from the Springfield Lake darn to Galena soon...It would be an overnight trip of course. Probably take atleast 3 days to make it...Figured we would camp out along the way..bring some viddles and maybe even eat some of the fish we catch. Not many fish but a few. Have you ever tried that distance?

Need answers please...Are the Crappie still hot. OR....Did I miss the action? Would like to try this week after this rain tomorrow.

Hope everyone snagging today has fun for the last day of the year. I got out Friday morning. Had to shovel 6" of mud and silt just so I did not get pulled back in the river at Delaware Town. Well, atleast I claimed one more paddle-fish for 2011. This fish weighed 65lbs. My Rod got broke on my next snag. Oh well....Till next year. Just thought I would include a pic...Time for some Catfish.
