  1. Late Christmas present!! Thank you!! I downloaded the app!! It's awesome! Adding Prairie Creek Marina would be awesome.
  2. No way I'd go above the bridge for several days till the current draw slows down. Even then with the rain coming, they will have to kick it back on and everything could repeat again. What a crazy year!! I guessed 15-10lbs for the win. I missed a little. Top 10 did a fantastic job catching fish in super crazy conditions. I say crazy because, super high water in winter, big changes to the lake over last week, and temps dropped down several degrees in a week. And it's Beaver. ;-) I stay out of the dam end. We don't get along up there. ;-) Those that can master it, I tip my hat. I like a little stain myself. Glad no one had any serious issues. That's great!
  3. I could see that pretty easily. Water clearer up there I bet?
  4. Typo. Phone changed my text. 50ish. Not 55ish. Sorry. So what was winning weight? Anyone know what and on what baits? Guessing crankbaits and jigs.
  5. Depending on where you were, time of day etc. PC WAS 48.3 when I launched at 9am. I found water 50.3 in Rocky Branch after a quick run there. Then it teetered around 49-55ish all day. PC looks like Monte Ne did last week. Dirty. But not unfishable by any means.
  6. So what was winning weights or top ten? Water was cleaner as day progressed. At 9am I thought I saw a striper guide on the horizon by Coppermine. Nope.....just a giant floating tree. Several big chunks and trees early. Then later in the afternoon it was very drivable. I am glad I didn't enter the tournament. Tested new Terrova today. NoT a bass fishing trolling motor for sure. I prefer my Fortrex. Couldn't get comfortable with it fishing tight to docks or cover so started making long casts and got one on a spin head and modified swimbait. That was fun. Then after another 30-40 mins I got bored and could not find bait so tried trolling for stripers. They wouldn't bite so went to look for bait again. Finally found some. Loaded up and then finally found some good striper marks. The dang bait population is just nuts. If you'really bass fishing, you should be focusing on something the size of threadfin or a little bigger. They are VERY healthy this year. (The bass) Still getting used to Terrova but so far, it's pretty nice. I still like my Fortrex. May have to add a removable mount for it and swap out when needed? That would be awesome. Water is so high I got all the way back to the forked road behind Bradfords Nursery. Pics attached. Just wanted to see if I could do it. I'm sitting in 4-5ft in picture. Hope those who fished today did so safely and had a great day. Beautiful day. I stayed warm entire day. I think I found a system for me that works (clothing wise). Take care all! Oh.....here is my new bait tree. These darn things are murder to pick out of a net not made for them.
  7. Hey, good luck to everyone tomorrow. I'll be in an aluminum boat. Ya'll wave... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM7AlMYgihk&sns=em
  8. My paintjob HATES you right now......
  9. From the reports I've heard, it's risky out of PC but once you get to Fords and Rocky B it's not as stained and less debris. Definitely dangerous boating conditions all around. Everyone will run to the dam end for sure and it's the "run" that makes it so dangerous. Everyone just needs to be cautious, slow down, and watch super carefully for debris. Small sticks could be attached to big logs under the surface. Stay safe all!!
  10. It sounds simple. But it's a bit more to the than that. I'll be out Friday. Glad to help show you some Ned tips. Keep is, don't try and feel it.
  11. One bad apple ruins the bunch. Hate to hear this. I know who it is and was thinking of several others it could be. He wasn't even on the radar. Lol
  12. I've seen the mudline go all the way to Honey Creek before. I can't recall if it got past it.
  13. Gates closed at 3am last night. Generating but will slow that down soon when inflow slows down. So the lake will be high for weeks and a slow draw down will start in February. Hope they draw it down quick before March or we will see this all again.
  14. Oh right! You said that earlier. Sorry. I responded later after I read it. Old man memory issues....
  15. Wasn't 69 degree rain at my house. Felt like 40 degree rain. Every drop was super cold. Thanks for the report Dan. WAY better than I expected. Maybe the mudline won't get past Coppermine by Friday? Or Rocky B at the most? They are slowly closing the gates and generating a lot. Maybe that will slow the mud and debris down some. Cabelas did a top notch job on my new Terrova so guess I will have to go play Friday for a while. :-) They always treat me well. Didn't mark anything. No surprise there. Will be tough to find some but when you find a wad, better camp on them.
  16. I found them on Internet and saved them to my phone. Lol!!! That was a good one. I LOL.....literally.
  17. I cannot deny or confirm these allegations........
  18. Actually, this event occurred during the first Everett Series tournament in very early spring. Remember? We chunked A-rigs all day long and I finally got one good one off the corner of a dock and was happy to have fish to weigh in. But I agree........good memories. Lots of fun times.
  19. I have a real host of friends. Wow.... And Stump, I'll remember that the next time you want fresh bait. Lol!
  20. That year or the year after. You were sweating like a pig in a blanket and stripped down to your Under Armor to shed some layers. Lol! I just kept fishing out of the back of the boat and minded my own business. Lol
  21. So the 2008 record level is the highest recorded at 1,132.21 with a release of 92,400cuft per second. Yesterday the lake crested at 1,132.04 with 92,150cuft per second. They just barely kept it from braking the record.
  22. Did NOT see that coming!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!
  23. I should clarify something. Since I respect everyone here. When I started this thread, it was meant in fun and general conversation. Like when you walk into your bud’s house and sit down on the couch with a cup of coffee in hand (after he offered you a hot beverage……like Sheldon Cooper advises), you kick back and say something like “Hey, are you going to fish the Polar Bear?” or “Hey, are you crazy enough to fish the Polar Bear this year?”. NO disrespect intended or implied. It’s just a question. Nothing more. You see, I grew up in the deep south. Where we give each other a hard time as a sign of respect for your peers. It’s a fine line……because you can say the exact same phrase with a big smile on your face or you can say it with a condescending attitude and it will be communicated in two complete polar opposite forms. So……..to clarify………. I WAS SMILING DANGIT! No disrespect meant towards anyone here and no condescending attitude intended. Or maybe just a little tiny bit... (haha) My genuine concern was people’s safety. I would imagine people would use general caution and avoid visible logs and debris. But in water that’s chocolate colored, it’s the one’s barely below the surface that get you. Can happen to even the best of us. So I was asking due to the INSANE fishing conditions where the lake has gone a full-fledged 180 in fishing conditions, highest water ever, low’s in the 20’s at take-off (which I’ve done many times), and now the risk of damaging your rig, would be willing to fish the PB. I myself am crazy enough to do it, but I would stick close to PC for safety reasons. I launched with Jolicious a few years back in 17-degree weather at take off. After we “landed” in Rocky Branch, the guides on our rods froze up every cast. It was then I realized how insane this event is and how it seems “fun” to say you were crazy enough to live through something like that……..at the end of the day it is truly….crazy. (smiling again here) So to those who are fishing it this year……….I bid you good luck. I will be out later that day possibly. But only to play with the new iPilot trolling motor. LOL!
  24. Man that is hardcore and a cool story!
  25. Found this on my phone. Gives perspective at what's holding back the water.
