  1. I wonder how many bass eggs the carp suck down? Maybe they are doing the bass fisherman a favor?

    Osage Bluff Whites
  3. Caught on cut perch. The flathead was on live perch. Trot line off a rocky bank. 21 ft to 13 ft of water
  4. High Point area.
  5. Sac River
  6. I'll be glad when he can carry and clean his own fish.
  7. I always heard wheaties with grape koolaide mix?
  8. I would try one of the river arms if you are looking for crappie on Thursday. They should be getting close to heading to the bank. Find a rocky bank with some lay downs. I like to troll out at about 15 ft of water with my trolling motor using tube jigs tipped with minnows. Slowest setting or drift if there is wind. I will change depths depending on where I find the bites. I am thinking 13ft will be the ticket Thursday morning. How is that for specific info.
  9. Up the river. All males
  10. Fish are tight to points and drop offs. Bush Piles have stunk all summer for me and that is usually my bread and butter. Caught 20 plus keepers Friday night. All on a worm and all next to drop off or point.
  11. Bass fish all the time on Stockton. It is hot right now when they are pulling water. Fished last Friday night and caught about 25 keepers. Best five were 13lbs. Just couldn't find a big one. Big worm was the ticket for us.
  12. Nice tournament today. 17 boats I believe. Davis Calhoun and his son won with 16lbs. Jodee Beach and myself took second with 11.8lbs. We also had big bass with a skinny 4.4 pounder. Beautiful weather and a great time.
  13. of catching short crappie. My partner and I probably caught 40 shorts to go with our ten keepers today. I just can't find the big fish. Most of the these fish came in 10-18FT of water on baby shad tubes, silver and white. The bass bite was pretty slow as well. Had 2 keepers on the Ned rig and a couple of shorts on a spinner. Beautiful day and still fun.
  14. I can not count the number of crappie I caught last night. Problem was about 10 shorts for every 1 keeper. We also tore up the whites under the lights. Had one 5 pound walleye. We used minnows in 18 to 14 foot of water. There are a bunch of crappie on the bank but they are all small. I am beginning to think that the big ones are just staying out to spawn. The females we have caught had eggs and their tails did look worked? We shall see if they move up further. All caught on minnows.
  15. Probally caught 60 crappie last night. Had 14 keepers. The bigger ones were for the most part still out in 16-17 ft of water but the small ones were on the bank. (1 ft of water) I did catch a couple of large females on the bank as well. I believe it will be very good this week. High Point area. Water temp 63 in the afternoon. Minnows was the ticket.
  16. I have a 92 nitro. It has held up great. No complaints here.
  17. Found crappie the last two days in 13 ft of water. Lots of fish but almost all were short. The keepers had eggs but they were not very developed. I think the water down below the surface is much colder and they are waiting to spawn.
  18. Fished High Point Area yesterday from 4:00-dark. Very windy and the water was very dingy. Most of the water was 60-63 degrees. Fished for 2 hours without much to show. Finally started catching fish on jigs tipped with minnows. Probably caught 15 crappie, all but one being short, one 19 inch walleye, and 15 nice big whitebass. All fish were off a spawning bank in 13-16 foot of water. The crappie were getting bigger the closer it got to dark. I think the females were moving in. Nothing caught shallow. It should be on for the next couple of days. Get out there!
  19. Next week will be the week. I would say Tuesday it should start. Finally going to get some very warm days and warm nights.
  20. Ate white bass last night. Seemed good to me at the time
  21. Thanks for your concern. I always appreciate a good lecture on fishing ethics on the internet. Let me clarify. The fish in the pic, were cleaned(to save as much meat as possible, some were frozen and then some were fried). The fish not in the picture, that I caught the next day, were all released upon catch. I actually gave each one a little massage to ensure their health. lol
  22. They were biting good yesterday. A buddy and I limited in about thirty minutes. Little slower today, still managed a nice limit. They all got returned to the river as I am tired of cleaning fish. Got them by the old steel bridge.
  23. sorry for the double pic
  24. Went looking for crappie. Main lake way too cold and clear for crappie on the bank. Went up a creek and found some 58 degree water. We were rewarded for our patience.
  25. Whites run up stream. You most likely are catching fish that are moving in. I have buddies that catch them just outside of Willard. They will continue to run upstream for a couple of weeks.
