I've actually been on the forum longer than you, just don't post. Scheels will have the largest sporting goods store in kansas. Similar to your bass pro and cabelas but better customer service and warranties. Also a 65 foot ferris wheel inside the store! But im not here to talk about them. What a fish huh!

Ness, i would have been throwing my h2 8 wt and mirage reel if i had it. That streamer was a bit big for the rod. And i don't eat fish but mike sure does. Also, the Orvis store is in Leawood. I'm sure before you make personal attacks you should get accurate info too. Not everything you read on the internet is true

Yes, i used to work for orvis. Had i still been at orvis, i wouldn't have caught this fish. I was borrowing a rod from Mike as i didn't bring anything. I also fished a hardy, echo, and scheels rod that day too. I am now the fly fishing/hunting manager at the Scheels store in overland park opening end of june. Fyi, orvis shared the story on their fb page too, so I'm sure perk is ok.
